I love Hart but if Shaedon is ready….I would hope they can keep Hart but I'd love to get Ayton.

They obviously would be banking on Nas starting and being healthy.Let's say we do Nurk and Hart for Ayton.
Still have a hope at starting forward. Also lose a guy in Hart that can fill some forward minutes.
Would we fill those with vet minimums
No Ayton, sorry. Durant cool.3 team deal with Blazers getting Ayton, suns getting Durant and Brooklyn getting draft picks and players form us and Phoenix
can someone with a good handle on the cba help me work out the mechanics of a double S&T with Nurk for Ayton?
So essentially we need another team to absorb a contract like Saric's/Shamet. And we need the sum of the contracts for Nurk + Hart to be around 80% of the deal Ayton gets (to meet the 125% criteria for salaries to match).I'm not up to date on CBA or salaries so some might better analyze this but here we go...... first its hard to know because we aren't certain what Nurks salary is and there would need to be other parts besides him and Ayton. I think a third team might have to be involved because of BYC. Also both Suns and Blazers would have to be under hard cap.
Blazers out Hart 13.0 Nurk 15.0 = 28.0
Blazers in Ayton 31.0
Suns in Hart 13.0 Nurk 15.0 = 28.0
Suns out Ayton 15.5 Saric 9.2 = 24.7
Boston in Saric 9.2 (trade exception)
I think at this point, due to BYC rules, a straight across double sign and trade with simply PHX and PDX is virtually impossible. Forgive me for the Blazersedge citation here, but this is what the cap guy at Blazersedge proposed as a sign-and-trade with Phoenix and Detroit involving Nurk to Phoenix and Hart to Detroit. He also uses this example to explain why the Grant deal has not be made official.can someone with a good handle on the cba help me work out the mechanics of a double S&T with Nurk for Ayton?

I think Wesley Matthews example above would also work to trade into an exception. I'd assume Boston would need to be incentivized, as I am not sure Saric is how they'd want to use that TPE.
Absolutely agree. I love Hart. And honestly, Detroit might be more interested in Little and Keon (+draft compensation) anyway. If somehow we could do it I'd like the idea of us combining Winslow/Little/EBEC/etc type of package going to a third team instead and we keep Hart.
I just want a contemporary big who can set picks and shoot from outside and be defensive.
Whatever it costs to get that if it's available, that's it.
That’s the way it usually works out for us.Jazz to go for Ayton to pair with Mitchell and make us wish we had gone after him to pair with Dame?

the Suns are already over 128M in salary for 9 players. Nurkic and Hart would put them at 157M for 11 players and they'd be hard-capped. And because Portland is hard-capped....oooh boy
Phoenix would have to dump salary elsewhere and pay to do it. And they'd expect Portland to make that payment
going by Sarver's rep, I wouldn't be surprised if he's hoping that Ayton will play for his QO next season and become UFA the following season. That way the Suns could stay under the tax line next year. Sure doesn't look like there's much of a market for Ayton and I doubt any teams are lining up to do sarver a favor
The Jazz are about to pay the man. The Suns will be forced to match.
Spotrac says the Suns are well over the salary cap, even after the Gobert trade. What are they missing?
