Oh FFS. Fuck off Simmons

Bullshit, I just don't trade a 23 year old Center with a ton of upside. Who will be a RFA..
For a nearly 30 year old Center who is clearly declining.

Hey, we 30-year-olds are NOT declining.

But inconsistent Nurk is still better than consistent Jordan.

Nurkic the past month:

13.8 points, 9.1 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.3 blocks 52.4 FG%, 2.1 turnovers, 76.7 FT%.

Compared to last year with Portland his turnovers are down as are his fouls. Let the guy develop.

He’d be even better if he wasn’t relied on so much offensively. His efficiency goes up when his usage goes down. That’s on Olshey.

Or maybe if he had a PF playing the weak side that he could drop bunny passes to when the defense commits to him. Or a SF who knows how to make nice cuts behind the defense. You know, like we saw with Vonleh and Harkless last season? But instead he has Aminu camped out on the 3-point line and Turner doing fuck-all.

Exhale...

1) All this debate about a Center who at best would be a sideways move, when WE ARE BLEEDING AT THE SF POSITION doesn't make sense to me.

2) If we can get DJ without giving up a 1st rounder, Collins, or out big 3 (yes, including Nurk), then I'd consider it.
We do need to concentrate our talent.

3) This is probably just a stunt by Jordan's agent.

4) In the stupid Bill Simmons trade, I'd literally rather have any player the other teams are getting. I'd rather
have Love than DJ. I'd rather have Batum than DJ, and I'd rather have Dwight Howard than DJ.

5) After the 15 seconds you've taken to read this post.... WE ARE BLEEDING AT THE SF POSITION.

Ding ding.

I would also put our first up for sale. Not to dump contracts, but to improve.

Jordan might be a Blazer? Jordan might be a Ruse.

Here is a link to G-Fs and G-Fs in their first 3 years. If Neil does another one of his value trades, then Super Mario makes sense.

I like the idea of Hezonja but we could just sign him in FA and not give up anything now.

I wonder what his value is though. A second? We’d also have to match salaries. Unless we just split the TPE

He's got a cool name, killer hair and can dunk garage thrown at the rim.

Nurk is the real mystery box, he can be anything in three years. This time you keep the mystery box.

If Nurkic wants to stay in this league, he must style his hair just like DeAndre. Dr. Frankenstein could make a plaster cast of Jordan's head and fit out Nurkic.

If any fan ran this team we would never make a trade to go all in. They would be to busy saying we can't beat this team , we can't beat that team. Keep the team young and develop.

Tell me, what else is happening in that parrelel universe?

The problem with Hezonja is that Orlando fucked his value up by not picking up his 4th year option on his rookie deal thus meaning if he is traded his bird rights aren't transferred. So one of two scenarios would play out. He'd play well and we couldn't afford to keep him or he'd play okay/bad and we could possibly afford him with the tax payer MLE but why would we keep him if he wasn't any good? Unfortunately this doesn't seem like a good idea to go after him.

OK, I take back what I said. If Thompson and JR are what LAC is getting as DJ bait, then absolutely ET and either Meyers or Mo may be in play. Hell, I might add a protected later first if they did that.

What about Gallinari? He is a 6’10” SF/PF that can hit the three and pass... I know he is injury prone but is exactly what this team is looking for, and at the same time we can probably unload Turner in a trade for him, and not break up the core. I can’t think of a better player that will cost less in trade. Turner and 1st or Swanigan for Gallinari?

Let's trade a perfectly healthy player for one who is injured every season. Nice one.

Time to change that moniker too buddy.

I mean, Cleveland could also offer Smith and Thompson for Antetokounmpo. The fact that they offered it (in this hypothetical), doesn't mean a slightly better or substantially similar offer is "in play."

The Clippers aren't taking a bunch of bad contracts for Jordan--they'd be better off (by far) letting him walk for nothing.

That's a concept that sometimes is lost among Blazer fans.

Woj says the Portland Trail Blazers have backed off in their pursuit of Deandre Jordan.

Woj said they’d rather let him go for nothing than take on a bad contract, even if it came with a first. I think they’re all in on Lebron and/or the summer of 2019
