I'm cheering for Joe to build a 10 player competitive roster with guys like Mays, Watford and Eubanks as insurance on the bench. This team hasn't had a core identity for at least 4 seasons and I hope Nas, Ant, Keon and Butler are gone...Hayes is way better than Keon and Knox is better than Nas in my view.

He's got a long way to go to achieve that. He's still 2-3 years out from being a dominate player on both ends against the best of the best.

I know I was NOT one of the people saying that Nurks contract was a good one. In fact, I recall plenty of people cringing at the combination of $ and length.

that's why it's called a "rumor mill" ..he also thought Nas would start this season at the 3 and that Ant is untouchable...
 
Embiid and Draymond....although not sure Green is as much of a needle mover anymore. Dame and Joel have become buds. Dame is also friends with Zach Lavine although that doesn't really solve anything here. I think he is tight with DeRozan as well.

DeRozan was at his wedding...they are tight. So was Draymond but I don't think Draymond wants to play here. Levine might. All I want is for the guy who picked him first in the allstar draft to be one of them!

Why not? Didn’t everybody approve of tanking? Didn’t the plan work perfectly? Didn’t the blowout illustrate what a ridiculous joke this franchise has become? Cronin orchestrated the whole thing, so he was laughing about his magnificent success at giving himself a 10% chance of getting Wemby.

Bro, you need to read the rest of this thread and see all the people expressing their disgust about the Warriors game. That game, a national embarrassment and a disgrace to the great game of basketball, was completely the product of Portland’s tanking strategy this year.
 
Who are Sally and Joann?

All we have are rumors and speculation. None of us know what the plans are. So I am not getting convoluted about any specifics. But, I love Dame. We all do. My concern is bringing in players based on their friendship with him. Not just that the friend might not be the right piece. But Dame is team leader. Leaders can't always be nice. I am NOT saying be abusive, but sometimes it's necessary to call out someone, or the whole damn team, if they are farting around, shrugging off losing. Can Dame do that if they are all his pals?

Yeah our tanking totally forced Klay to go 4-5 from three in the first quarter putting us down something like 18-6 or something???

I would not allow others’ “in the moment” crazy talk dictate your rationale. Regardless of that game or thread, you have been banging this drum for a while now. So don't try to spin it like you are simply reacting to that one game and the comments in that game thread.

Yes, I absolutely have. And yesterday’s debacle against the Warriors is just one more reason why tanking is a very bad idea, and makes a mockery of the game of basketball.

A “National Embarrassment” what does this even mean? Nobody looked twice at our game let alone once and thought about it.
