Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams is no longer wearing a walking boot and said he'll take the court with the team for its first training-camp practice on Tuesday at Duke University in Durham, N.C.
Williams sprained his right ankle and suffered a bone bruise during an offseason workout in Utah.
He said Nets trainer Tim Walsh wants him to take it slow, but expects to be healthy by the start of the regular season Oct. 30 in Cleveland.
