I'm with Maris. I've already had problems with the bank when trying to use 5k of my own money on a big purchase. And getting even $1000 in cash from an ATM is impossible.

My wife wrote our son a check on her Chase account. He went to her branch of Chase to cash it. Even after she called and spoke with the teller they insisted on charging a fee to cash it because he didn't have an account there. I think it was $8.00.

She emptied her six figure account the next day.
