"Dime" Lillard - baby watch

Shouldn't Baby Dame have arrived by now? If she (does anyone know this woman's name, please) was in labor yesterday evening? I know first babies can be slow but still, well over 12 hours.

I saw on Oregonian Web site a ton of people asking why they are not married ... MYOB. They are fine.

Her name is Kay'la Hanson. She met when she was studying pre-med at Weber State.

Jeezus, I thought Portland was supposed to be a bastion of progressiveness. This isn't 1947. A piece of paper isn't a prerequisite to be in a committed relationship, and/or having a kid. How long have they been together now? They met in college and he's now completing his 6th NBA season - so what, 7 years. That's a pretty long relationship for someone who is just 27 years old and it has already lasted longer than many marriages.

I agree, people need to MYOB and allow Dame and his partner to enjoy and celebrate the birth of their son.

Depends on how you define labor. It officially starts when your water breaks, but active labor (contractions and dilation of the cervix), may not start until a few hours later. Typical first time active labor lasts between 8 - 18 hours.

He left Portland to cover the Cavs but since then been hired by ESPN. Since he’s still got his Portland connects it makes sense that he’d focus on them.

I wonder how the players feel about him. Obviously, Dame and C.J. felt comfortable enough with him to sit down for dinner and an hour long interview.

I get the feeling he values his privacy and even more-so the privacy of his significant other and their child. I know I would want to shield them as much as possible -- case in point the post referencing the psychos and low-lifes on O-live. Hence, many here weren't even current on whether he had a girlfriend, and most had no idea as to her name. I guess we'll see how open he is with us mortals when the time comes. Is there a series of tweets showing mommy and baby in our future? Stay tuned.

One article I read mentions that his girlfriend canceled her twitter account a couple years ago. Seems like they both value their privacy. Good for them. They are the anti-Kardashians. I can't think of a higher compliment.

Growing up, I always thought Kurt was the coolest guy in the world. He would have been a MLB baseball player too but he hurt his leg. He was short but had a great feel for the game that he got from his dad.
