He's from Syracuse so he will never EVER live up to his potential. Whoever drafts him will be extremely disappointed. Will always be an underachiever
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd love to revisit this thread in about 3 years ... I've got this funny feeling that the kid might be OK.
Well, what are you hearing exactly?
That he's killing workouts and teams are amazed?
Or is it just the Blazers that are giddy?
I'm hearing the Blazers are beyond high on him and it's not from any internet or media report. I fear another Martell Webster type draft where we trade down and still reach for Waiters. Hope I'm wrong!
Aren't you supposed to link to the article or at least give credit to the author? Posting something like that makes it look like you wrote it.
If you want we can revisit every other Cuse player in the past 25 years and see if they lived up to their potential

I'm curious to why you think that is.

I really like Waiters but you have to be careful with smokescreens.
For a good month before the draft the Thunder used Bayless as their smokescreen for Westbrook.
That is the best news I have heard all day! I have been very high on Waiters. From the first game I saw him in, he looked to me to be the best player on the court. His handles are great and he averaged more assists than Lillard. I see him as a much better Crawford type player who can run both the PG and SG positions.
That said, I am hoping Portland can grab Lowry & #14 from Houston for the (NJ pick + Babbitt & Smith). Then pick up Waiters at #14.
Good stuff... Trading down could very well be in the cards. Would you be fine with us drafting him at 11? 6?

Is that what you thought I was trying to do?
I'd be fine with Perry Jones & Dion Waiters draft.....
