umm so i just started shaving about every other day or so, and i have a razor where you just buy new blades for it but i ran out of blades, so my mom was at the store so i just told her tp pick me up razors (im only 16 my mom still buys me stuff even if i am shaving ) so she got me disposables one, so i was curious how many times am i spoce to shave with the disposable ones, once or more than that

lmao - i remember asking a kid in my school this question when i was i think 11 or 12.
NO, don't use it just once - you can get at least a good 6 or 7 shaves out of it, before it starts to lose its sharpness. you could even get 12 to 15 uses out of it if you were stuck - just definitely use it more than once they are expensive as you probably noticed

Man, I wish I had used trimmers rather then razors when I first started getting hair. Woulda been less of a hassle.

Lucky, my parents won't let me shave until I'm 16. 1 year a few months to go.

i turned 16 a little longer than a month ago, man i hate hair on my face, everytime i saw a sign of a mustache even when i was like 13 and there was like a single hareabove my lip id shave it

lol i had a mustache when I was like 13. I left it on but everybody started cutting ass on me so I had to take it out. I shave it now everytime. I hate disposable razors. Just buy a Gillete Fusion. The best shave a man can get.

lol I don't know how hairy you're gonna get, but if you're brown (I'm asusming you are) and are predisposed to having a lot of hair (if your male family members have a lot of facial hair) then you're gonna hate it pretty soon.

Actually, the only thing I like is leaving it stubbly some days. When it's short and stubbly, chicks dig it

Lol... man, seems like JBB (or the OT forum at least) keeps getting younger and younger...

I've been clean shaved for a while but used to go with that "mountain man" look right after I graduated from high school. I got expelled from my first high school and had to go to a private school that wouldn't let me grow a beard or wear my hair long, so long story short, I took full advantage of the opportunity and was a walking cave man.

Anyway, to answer your questions, disposables used to be pretty durable back in the day when I started shaving, and I'd use them for months at a time, but nowadays I just use electric.

I use the same one for like 3-4 months, lol, I'm just too lazy to go and buy more. I have a an Electric Shaver, but razors cut the best, I prefer them over electric models.

Why won't your parents let you shave Carter? It's the first I've heard of parents stopping their kid from shaving.

Have you got proper facial hair? As in stubble hair on your cheeks as well? If not, I assume you have fluffy kind of hair. Buy disposable razors if you have the fluffy type.

Ya I have a Gillette Fusion and an electric razor and I always use the Fusion when shaving.

I have a little stache and thats it. A few strings on my chin.

Sounds like Pau Gasol idolized you man

My school don't let you have any facial hair or let you grow your hair out pass your shoulders. I had a goatee over the summer but had to cut it off with the rest of my jewish afro thing I had going on

I use the Mach 3 Turbo I think. As well I have an electric rasor, but I'm too lazy to use it.

I shave like once every two weeks (sometimes a month), just because I don't feel like doing it daily. My scruff beard grows slowly.

Thats what I always leave, I'll shave with hair clippers just so there is the right amount of growth left

I should be shaving every day, but I only have a proper shave like every 3 weeks, in between that I go through my stubble routine

Since we're on the topic of facial hair, I always have my mustache and chin ...looks almost identical as to what Dwyane Wade has. I only use my razor when I want my hair gone on my cheeks and neck gone completely so i get the nice smooth feel, otherwise I use a trimmer. I like the stubby hair growing for a week somtimes, but i find it ugly unless I shave my neck and shape it. I think I have a problem with paying attention to my facial hair too much.

DWade has a moustache? I know he has the chin thing, I do that too (my face looks wierd without it IMO)..I can't pull off the moustache lol...

I have to shave every 2-3 days, which is quite a lot I think...well I don't HAVE to shave, but I don't like it being stubbly after a certain amount of time.

I was actually gonna make a thread about Hairstyles for fun, I wonder if anyone on the board has a cool hairstyle that resembles Cristiano Ronaldo's or if anyone does any crazy sh*t to thier hair (crazy sh*t could mean good styles too). I remember this one kid who put the Nike logo or something shaved onto the back of his head. I hope none of you guys are that stupid

I wanna grow out my hair but damn it's too much maintenance IMO. I usually get tired of growing out my hair after like 2 months.

lol yea, it's thin. Me without a moustache=completely diff person. Similar to what Carter has/had.

I can't grow out my hair (head hair) for that long, I feel like it gives me headaches. I keep my hair low like a 2 and .5 and cut it every few weeks. I can't stand people with designs on their hair or double outlines.

The new thing now seems to be a mohawk. Not the actually full mohawk, but the gelled hair style one. Well it's been the thing for like a year or so now. I use to think it was corny but people can pull it off.

Same as me, I shave my head once a week, to a 1 or 0.5, I look stupid with longish hair.

I never tried a .5 clipper before. I always do a 1 until the mid point of my sides and back and then fade up with 2 and cut the top with sciccors. This time though, I'm planning on growing my hair out and I was going to go for a mohawk but you actually need straight hair for that, so I can't pull it off. And I agree that growing out hair is frustrating and often annoying.

I still wanna pull off either one of these styles

My hair structure is kinda like that (only more wavier) so let's see how it goes. Obviously I'm not going to look exactly like the guy and I don't intend to. It's just a guideline.

The thing nowadays seems to be either getting outlines or double outlines (double outlines piss me off, people get them at the back of the head too which is annoying as hell), getting a mohawk or growing your hair out and undercutting it or doing it Ronaldo/Beckham style. Of course that's only for people who care enough for thier hair to style it. A lot of guys just gel it back and are done.

It's all about getting the long thing sideburns following the outline of your face all the way down and joining at the chin.

Disposable razors are garbage, I used them for one week while camping and had like 1,000 cuts each time. I use a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo, very good razor but expensive refills... and I can't stand electric razors, not for my rough facial hair.

<div class="quote_poster">Shard Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> I used them for one week while camping and had like 1,000 cuts each time.</div>

It helps if you're heterosexual, Adam.

I'm all for the Schick Quatro myself. Been using it for about a year, and before that I had a Mach III. Like em both, prefer the Quatro though. I hate electric shavers on a sidenote. They just rip the hair out of the face and I get terrible razor burn from it, and I hate that.
