I drink a cup every morning. Every once in a while (usually when I have very early meetings in the morning with customers from abroad) I go for Turkish Coffee done properly boiled twice in a Finjan (Ibrik) with lots of mud at the bottom.

Most amazing coffee I ever drank was done in a Druze village - they called it 'bitter coffee' - the rules are the host drinks first to show you there is no poison involved, then they go around the room, you get a small cup, drink it - and if you shake your cup after you drank it - they go to the next person. I misheard it - and had to drink a 2nd cup (can't be rude to the host) - I managed to sleep only 2 hours that night... apparently, they brew it for hours overnight to give it it's very bitter, very strong flavor.

I used to drink coffee. Until it started causing me health problems.

I haven't had any coffee in 0ver 30 years. My wife drinks one cup in the morning, but never acquired the taste.

Having an extra cup this morning in your honor, OB.

Just had big cup of Assam tea with really good breakfast. Waffles, homemade with real maple syrup, fried cage free egg, steamed artichoke cut from garden of previous home yesterday when I went back to clean. Also cut a large basket of lemons and branches of bay leaves, it will be a while before new plants get big.

Sounds very Californian. 'Specially steamed artichokes for breakfast.

With lemon from my tree and California olive oil.

I drink coffee constantly and don't understand people who don't. Haha. It helps me poop, tastes delicious, gives me pep. Definitely a part of my morning ritual in waking up and getting ready for the cruel world.
Your poop tastes delicious?

Various black teas, Assam, Darjeeling, English Breakfast, Early Gray. In the evening a low caffeine blend of green tea, mint and lemon grass.
Love English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Constant Comment, black tea and jasmine. I always use clover honey but am willing to try orange honey.

Stage 1) drink coffee
Stage 2) coffee IV
Stage 3) where's my damn enema bag?

I was a regular tea drinker for years until Starbucks bought out Teavana (and shut it down). Teavana’s English Breakfast tea was a cut above anyone else’s. I’ve looked high and low at all the other tea shops around PDX and no one even comes close. So I went back to drinking coffee………tea is expensive and if I can’t get what I want I’ll go without.

As a proper Brit I have long drunk my tea with milk (and my coffee without). I think of them as like red and white wine - they serve different purposes, so I need both. A few years ago I was advised to go dairy free and now drink my tea black and find that it's fine.
