I didn't say they were. But if you are rude to the refs, they might not give you some close calls. Ya know?
Huh? How could they force a game 7 after the shot is missed?
If I remember correctly, Parsons tipped in a shot to get the lead. What did the refs do and why did they allow it to be so close? The refs had just helped give Houston the lead. Lillard hit that shot to win the game/series. If he had missed, we would have been going back to Houston.
But if Dame hadn't hit a miracle shot with .9 seconds left, the refs WOULD have forced a game seven.

The NBA wasn't behind him. He did that on his own for betting reasons.Kingspeed two words: Tim Donaghy...refute that

Players in the NBA could be doing that in any game played too.
David Stern was the 2nd gunman.
They need advanced stats for refs. You could easily come up with formulas to figure out which refs favor good teams and which refs favor big markets.

But the clippers AREN'T nice to the refs and they DO get the close calls.
I'm confused.
I read the book.Kingspeed two words: Tim Donaghy...refute that
IDK, I don't think the Clips go all Rasheed Wallace or John McEnroe on the refs. They aren't all that adversarial. They just complain and whine on EVERY SINGLE POSSESSION that doesn't go their way, and half the ones that do. And Glenn whines their ears off during time outs. It just wears the refs down to the point that consciously or unconsciously the refs give them favorable calls. Popovich used to do the same thing, but he has the refs so well trained now he mostly sits back and enjoys the spoils of their operant conditioning, only administering the occasional "correction" to reinforce their training. But the clippers AREN'T nice to the refs and they DO get the close calls.
I'm confused.
Anybody that would
I read the book.
If real life was like NBA Officiating:
Police Dispatcher: 911, What is your emergency?
Joe Schmoe: Help! My house has been robbed! You gotta send someone out right now. They took nearly everything I own! Please help me!
Police Dispatcher: Okay sir calm down, Could you give me your home address please?
Joe Schmoe gives the police dispatcher his address, it is in a low income neighborhood.
Police Dispatcher: Well no wonder you got robbed. That is a terrible neighborhood. Why don't you live in one of the nicer neighborhoods with the gated communities? If you had lived there you might not have gotten robbed sir.
Joe Schmoe: What? It's all I can afford to live right now
Police Dispatcher: Oh, so you don't make a lot of money then sir.(Dispatcher says it more as a declaration rather a question.)
Joe Schmoe: What does how much I make and where I live have anything to do with what happened to me? I was robbed and most of my belongings are gone! A crime was committed! Please send the police so I can file a report!
Police Dispatcher: Sir you should have expected being robbed due to the neighborhood you are in and done more to safeguard yourself from something like this. My advice to you is get a better job and make more money so you can move to a better neighborhood where this won't happen to you. Have a great day sir.
Police Dispatcher hangs up the phone.
Joe Schmoe: What the fuck!!??
