As a Mavs fan, I do. But there should really be no other reason to hope that.

Roy hasn't really put together many games of solid play in a row. I give the chance of him struggling at 50%. That being said, that's both hard on Dallas and Portland because neither team knows which player is going to show up

No, but I hope Nate yanks his ass ASAP if he is struggling. Roy showed in the regular season that he was up and down, and can't be relied on to show up every game....to no fault of his own.

I also still believe that Roy going ISO int he forth quarter is no way to win a title. It might get us past the Mavs, who can't seem to ever get out of the first round, though

Do you really think that Nate planned to go ISO Roy in game 4? I think Nate just rode the hot hand to win the game. That's what good coaches do. This team isn't the team like last season. They are more dynamic and can score in the paint now. I wouldn't be surprised if Roy plays decoy this game and has a line of 12 points, 6 assists and 5 boards.

I'm not concerned with how any individual plays as much as I just want the team to win by any means possible.

100% team effort! I hope that Fernandez gets out of his funk, Batum has one of those Epic quarters and Wallace can actually be a factor offensively. I would love to have Roy get this line 12/6/5 in 23 minutes. I hope Aldridge really puts a smack down in the paint. But most importantly, I want them to win! I am coming up on Weds to watch the game. Hopefully I can witness the Blazers close out Dallas then!

I think it'll be harder for him to get going as the Mavs will go back to pressuring him all the way up the court.

In the 4th in game 4 they were up by 20 and just playing it safe and they never adjusted. They were playing not to lose. If the game is close in the 4th I think it'll be different.

I kinda hope Roy's terrible play costs the Blazers two more games, so that the team can cut him without any guilt.

Also, I hope the Blazers sign Andre Miller to a 10 year deal and he's made a player-coach to replace McMillan.

Gee... I wonder who papa is talking to. Oh who could it be? The suspense is killing me.

How ironic. PapaG calling out others on caring about being "right".

no doubt... go laundry ∞! And I hope that the guys privileged to wear it make most of us Blazer fans proud (there is no pleasing some fans)

Learn the CBA, then post.

I'm wondering if Roy's problems have been more mental than we realize. If that's the case, then maybe he has finally broken through and is feeling good about himself again, after two solid games. That could make a big difference in his play tonight.

Maybe the most stupid and childish thread topic I've ever seen.

That's saying a lot, considering how prolific Mixum was. But I agree. The suggestion that any Blazers fan would want Roy to fail is nothing but blatant trolling. Nothing screams "HEY, LOOK AT ME!!!" more than starting mornic threads just to gain attention.

So, I guess in that way, the OP has succeeded. He's getting the attention he desparately needs to validate his own self-worth. Something else he has in common with Mixum.

For all the crap PapaG has given us for what happened to Mixum, he sure can't get past a few posters on this forum. It's a personal rivalry for him. I think he cares more about the personal rivalries than he does about the game or the team. If anyone wants to prove he's "right" or make others feel bad, it's him.

Seriously, Brandon Roy just pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history and all PapaG and a select few other posters can think about is being "right" and rubbing people's faces in it. It's the fucking playoffs. Get over your petty bullshit with other people on this forum and support your team.

I found the opinions about Roy stupid and completely without merit. If you and others don't want to stand by the stupid shit you posted, that's your problem. I didn't rub anybody's face in it, and I didn't post this thread until today, after seeing most of those who were bashing Roy were absent/in hiding.

Let's not forget, you're the "fan" who admitted that part of you wouldn't mind the Blazers missing the playoffs, just so you could be "right" on your opinion of Nate, and all of the bitching you do about the guy.

That was fun.

I'm not absent or in hiding. I still think Roy has a very bleak longterm future. Am I supposed to hammer on that after I just put up a huge game for us in the playoffs? Why would someone go out of the way to harp on an opinion when they should be happy that we just won? Oh wait, that's what you're doing with this thread. Maybe I should be asking you why you would do that? You're clinging to your petty opinions when the only thing that matters right now is winning. Whether Roy is or is not done in a year or two years, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is beating the Mavs.

You posted that you wanted to the Blazers to miss the playoffs so you could be "right" about Nate, and I'm the bad fan?

Seems as though this thread hit a bit close to home for you, since you have precedent in wishing for the Blazers to fail in order to prove that you were "right".

Now I know why you seem so upset...

I am so in your head right now. You formulate your whole existence on this forum around me. It's pretty hilarious.

That was last season btw, in the preseason, and you're STILL talking about it. You don't think that's pathetic?

Somebody sure likes talking to himself. I guess that's the only way he can get any attention.

So, had I titled this thread "Does Anybody Want the Blazers to Lose So They Can Be Right About Nate", would you have accepted that as a legitimate thread? Because, while true, that would be a rather obvious call-out.

And no, you're not in my head. You're the one who wrote a long post complaining about me in this thread. I'm only responding to your emotional outburst. :)
