Unfortunately nothing in there seemed to throw any light on this discussion. Interviewer never asks if he thinks he can change his style of play or even about his relationship with Billups.
Scouting will catch up to Ant and the new guys soon.
I think the exciting part of the recent events are that Dame can play off ball a lot more.
Good point. Best to keep it Chauncey's team.I'm not sure if I remember this good, but wasn't this the case on the begining of the season? Wasn't it something that forum pointed as possible reason of his struggle?
I like to watch this new team, but I don't believe (yet) they are that good. Let's see another ten games.
And it is not Ant's team. It was Dame's team and it finished badly. CJ and Stotts were here too long and maybe they wouldn't if it wasn't Lillard's team.
I would rather see it as a actual Team with a coach than someone's team.
Ergo: Forum overreacting.
haha, too me it's more people get to high and too low around here quickly. Ant's is tearing things up right now, and we can all see the potential oozing out of him. But after 20 games, where his usages's are way up, is still only a small sample size. I love what I am seeing but I try not to get too high too quickly.yeah but what was this board be without ridiculously dumb threads?
don't say "you people." It's one guy who just wants attention by routinely making clickbait threads.Jesus Christ... you people.
You don’t think it’s a perfectly reasonable topic? At least worth discussing?don't say "you people." It's one guy who just wants attention by routinely making clickbait threads.
Getting your *entire* starting lineup to play differently is much different than getting one player to play differently.im pretty sure chauncey wanted to play like this from the pre-season going forward
but with dame, cj mccollum & powell it was impossible
Maybe the first 100 times, sure. The dude has made a million threads on this topic. You don’t think it’s a perfectly reasonable topic? At least worth discussing?
it's not reasonable to think the best player in franchise history who:You don’t think it’s a perfectly reasonable topic? At least worth discussing?
Very. Good. Points.it's not reasonable to think the best player in franchise history who:
1. has never been un-coachable,
2. repeatedly has pledged his desire to win HERE.
3. admitted LOVES the coach and wants to play for him
should be traded before he even gets a chance to play this new style of ball with new teammates.
No. this is not worth discussing.
Especially when the dude coming up with this topic has posted this bullshit ad nauseum for over a year.
Reasonable to ponder if Lillard, a top 75 player of all time still in his prime, is no longer a fit for the team after 4 games? Do what you want but no, that's not reasonable. You don’t think it’s a perfectly reasonable topic? At least worth discussing?
I don't know how anyone can straddle the fence when Dame says this (timestamped):
Like how you gonna be disloyal to a guy who's loyal AF.
don't say "you people." It's one guy who just wants attention by routinely making clickbait threads.
But, on the other shoulder, is this devilish little guy who in his raspy voice is saying "Trade him! Trade him now! You'll never have a better chance! Just look at those knockers1(animal house)..get some big men, you need big guys..Nurk can't do it all by himself....."
Not sure it is 'worse'. It's more about the 'fit' where you have the established, all-star, older, lead guard, coming back from an injury to re-take the reins from the younger, now more explosive, slightly bigger lead guard who is showing signs. Since you can't have two lead guards, the observation is more how will they fit together and would what they would get back for the much more expensive one, but a big enough haul to set up the new lead guard with pieces to really compete?
That is what Blazer fans want....to be at least a contender. They have not been that in 20 years.
