You know I am on record that I'm going to be pissed if it goes unused. You know nothing about me yet are assuming I'll disappear or not say anything if it goes unused. That is an attack of my character.
Attack on your character!? OH MY GODYou know I am on record that I'm going to be pissed if it goes unused. You know nothing about me yet are assuming I'll disappear or not say anything if it goes unused. That is an attack of my character.
I know, right?I read your original post on this too. You said you would be pissed. I love how a few people take that as saying NO is complete shit. You have to now admit he is complete shit you know. That's what being pissed translates to some...with incredible reading comprehension....
Makes me want to just go back to full on trolling folks around here. At least I have fun and they get frustrated rather than the other way around when you actually try to converse facts and thoughts.
You think I'm the type of person that would act like I forgot about the TPE and not say anything about it? Those are the worst type of people character wise who renege on bets or things they say so yeah I take that as an attack on someone's character. I actually have a bet with @Gronk Brady about who will finish higher between the Blazers and Wolves.Attack on your character!? OH MY GOD

we Might as well merge this with the I hate Neil Olshey thread (or whatever it is). Is this really all because of one article saying the Blazers had contacted the spurs about Kahwi but didn’t want to include CJ or Dame?
The TPE well, I’m really starting to think it won’t get used or will be incredibly underwhelming when it does... I guess we will see how things play out. My gut feeling is NO is basically done doing anything for the summer (which annoys me), but who knows maybe he does something. It doesn’t look like he’s getting fired so I might as well just wait and see how things shake out.
I don’t believe he can put Jenkins or KJ on 2 way contracts but I could be wrong. I am definitely an NO “hater”. I just Think some of the criticisms are petty at best. Some of us will be mad no matter what he does...I've begun to think that this off-season is a punt for the Blazers. NO wanted to use the TPE plus #24 pick to get a solid vet, but couldn't find any takers. He didn't have any cap flexibility other than the taxpayers MLE. He used that on Curry and Stauskas, which sort of checked the veteran box (if one is being kind). Other than Dame & CJ he has no major tradeable assets. While I disagree with the Olshey-bashers that he would never trade those guys, I do think that it would only happen for a clear upgrade in talent and that there hasn't been that kind of a deal available.
The next best move of stocking up on resources for next summer seems to me to be where he decided to go. He added a bunch of young guys who can shoot well from the perimeter and have upside (Baldwin has been kept, Simons, Trent, Stauskas, and I would think a couple more will be given 2-way contracts out of Jenkins, McDaniels and Goodwin). Those guys did a nice job in Vegas, so it looks to me like Olshey made some headway there. Hopefully, the other young guys (Nurk, Collins, & Swanigan ) all improve this year so that they gain in value either as players for the Blazers or as trade assets. Next summer, the toxic contracts of Turner & Meyers become somewhat less toxic in that they will be ending contracts so Olshey may be able to put together a significant deal. I'd love to see something happen sooner than that, but given the realities of the Warriors' stranglehold on the league, there's probably not really a lot of rush.

Like this thread is basically mad because someone mentioned it he talked to SA about Kawhi and didn’t get him... so obviously it was put out there just to appease Portland fans? At this point it makes so much more sense for NO to not want that stuff out as his reputation is more or less not being able to land any big name at all.
I get that CJ is probably there best trade asset, but in the case of Kawhi there’s so many freaking question marks... I’m not sure that Kawhi + all the baggage + he might just leave is worth CJ + picks and young players...
This wins the most depressing post of the day. Congratulations.
I wonder how Drake feels?
Once you've played 3 years, your ineligible. So none of them are eligible.I think KJ can. 2-way contracts are open to players in their 4th NBA season or earlier. KJ's only played 3 years and so has Goodwin. You're right on Jenkins.
CJ Wilcox was a 2 way for us last season, and had played 3 seasons.Once you've played 3 years, your ineligible. So none of them are eligible.
