We've taken up pickle ball. It's a lot of fun.
 
The Quakers have a cool approach to religion...no church...no outreach or lobbying for expansion and most importantly...no participation in war period...they meet in each other's homes in small groups in silence to meditate about God.....actually cool example of non dogmatic religious practice.

I empathize with all. I respect other's choices, but that respect is not unimpeachable. When one's choices and actions put them in a mindset to dictate what others can and can't do, I lose that given respect. I still feel empathy and wish the lost could regain their humanity, but I cannot hold their hand.

This is the same argument when people criticize the "tolerant" left for not tolerating hatred, bigotry, racism, sexism, fascism, and et seq. These behaviors are beyond tolerating, beyond respect, and beyond my personal lifelong code of morality and critical thinking.

If one becomes dead to me in name, then they have really fucked up.

In my opinion, yes. But, only if rolled out compassionately. Things with potential recreational value but also with inherent danger should be legalized, regulated for safety, and people should be educated about what they can do. And a safety net of drug treatment, counseling, and etc can bolster the aforementioned education, and safety measures. Of course, none of this can be accomplished over night, and especially with the neo-con War on _______ that is so pervasive with Republicans and establishment Democrats alike. We have a system that worked ok for the times when society was far more simple, but severely falls short in every way to handle our current more advanced culture and society.

Our system is broken. Either we fix it through creative force, or it gets fixed without our input by destructive forces. This is where the right wing is taking us: fear, anger, mistrust, corruption, vile speech against those with differing thought, restrictions on personal health and body choices, less power in voting, and on and on.

There are 2 forces at work here: creativity and destruction. I know which side I choose. Even if that side fails, it is still the correct choice, every single time.

I think you should try them all for an extended period so you can make an informed decision...maybe start with Thorazine and then get back to us with your test results! Be sure to purchase a drool cup ...I hear that's a great Thorazine companion!

I know the Catholic church imbedded their rules and agenda alongside the tenets of the religion. From the slaughter they directed during the three Crusades, or instigation of the Spanish Inquisition,many centuries ago, political status was important in their reign. The religions' status during the medieval period was for power and political influence. Unfortunately, priests in these times,
had proven the solitary life to God was not enough. Perversion! It's a global problem that proved it was the system, not the individual. .

I have no need for it but you are seeking answers so I'll be happy to know how it turns out...it was your question. I'm on 3 heart meds currently and have been for 6 years...glad they're not illegal.
Drugs should not be illegal...abuse of drugs should be illegal.

I imagine they'e prescribed.

Not exactly certain what your definition of abuse is. One shot of heroin is OK, but three is abuse?

sort of like cigarettes eh? but if you're a soldier who's stepped on a land mine and lost his legs on the battlefield the medic will probably give you all the shots you want to help you through it...you don't want to take a handful of my heart meds at the same time either but I'm sure someone has lost their life trying...choices

I'm going to assume you've never stepped on a land mine as well. Personally when they put a balloon in my heart chamber I'm glad I was knocked out with powerful drugs. Choices ..I sure didn't wake up from surgery a heroin addict though.

I was goofing around as I had mispelled heroin. All good. Glad you're relatively healthy these days. My ticker appers to be doing well. It's my prostate that's caused a few inconveniences in the past few years.

Dude, you missed the best part! I was (pleasantly) higher than a kite and it was like I was watching a satellite photo. See the big old river that somehow narrowed down to a little tiny stream, then.....voila! Flowing like the Amazon again. There was a little initial discomfort when they expanded the mesh, but it was a good buzz throughout and the procedure was fascinating to watch. That said, one time is plenty.
