Shutting down all refugee programs means people who spent years applying for refugee status, were thoroughly vetted and approved, some already had plane tickets and had made housing arrangements, were now blocked from coming here. Includes Ukrainian fleeing war zones, Afghans who assisted US forces, and Christians facing actual religious persecution (as in prison, not I am persecuted because gay people get married).
 
For those who thought Biden too soft on Netanyahu (he was), Trump has called for complete ethic cleansing of Gaza, removing entire population. Sending to Egypt and Indonesia, how poor Indonesia got dragged in I don't know.

Jared wants to build a beachfront hotel, you see,and Gazans are in the way.

He pardoned anti women's rights activists convicted under the law including those who injured a nurse and threatened a woman in labor.
 
I think we need to think about how to adjust to the new government.

How can we, as S2 posters, engage daily in casual cruelty?

How can we be bigger assholes, to each other, and to the internet at large?

All ideas welcome. Nothing is too large or too small, as long as it causes someone pain.

Trump being a stooge for Israel doesn't make Biden exempt from being too soft on Netanyahu. He was.

At some point we need to start thinking about taking our country back from these Zionists who are sucking our country dry and creating new enemies for us.

Biden doesn't matter. He never did. He was just a name the money got behind to block real positive change.

I'm not sure if he is or not and it's pretty irrelevant. All we have to do is look at his actions. I think he's more about his benefit, where as Biden believes in Zionist supremacy. Same end result. It's part of the system in this country. They own 90+ percent of our congress for a reason.

The people who own Trump are far worse than the people who own Congress. It's a far more consolidated evil.

With the Dems or even old Republicans there is some effort to maintain a healthy middle class.

Billionaires paying for a candidate and a candidate putting unqualified billionaires into power because they paid for them is a completely different thing.

You aren't wrong that billionaires own politics, not arguing that, but the damage one is about to do is far worse because he's then putting them into positions of power with no qualifications.

We disagree. The middle class has been eroding long before Trump came. That's what's allowed Trump to come into our politics in the first place.

The lesser of two evils is not in office. Billionaires now on the inside and out aren't going to urge us to do anything except follow them mindlessly.

and Trump capitalized on it only to further the divide. I give Trump props only in the fact that he knows how to exploit the vulnerable and naive. It’s been his business model for decades.

I didn't say otherwise. The push from the wealthy has been encroaching on the middle class for decades. There has been some push-back from both Dems and Republicans.

There will be no push-back with Trump. Our only hope is that Dems can mount stiff enough opposition and that Trump can't get rid of enough guardrails to completely destroy this country.
