When jlprk is making good sense you know that 2016 has gone so far off the deep end that it's not visible in the rear view mirror.
Never have understood why you dislike me. I think it's because your #1 cause is gay/feminist issues, and mine are antiwar, rich vs. poor, black people, sexual freedom for all (jealously tearing down the heterosexual side of the sexual revolution does not further the gay side), and drugs...basically, hippies.
The smart move would not be a wall.....it'd be a canal......put the Panama Canal out of business now that the Chinese control it and have a canal from San Diego to Texas!.....Let the flagship be the Mar Azul! The irony (for me) is that while I consider myself a moderate, I have long advocated building a wall, if for no other reason than it would be a massive public works project that would provide tens of thousands of jobs just in constructing it and then patrolling it. Unfortunately, we'd probably hire Mexicans to do the work......
you beat me to it.....missed this post earlier when I posted mine.....I opted for canal instead of moatWe should build a moat actually. A bigly moat.
Are you serious? Banning a religion is unAmerican. And what about the millions Muslim Americans? What would you do about them? And how would you determine if someone is Muslim?I'm in favor of keeping Muslims out, and also illegal immigrants. As far as deporting, limit it to people with a violent criminal record.
You are right about that. My bad by linking Trump's wall with the Berlin Wall.
Yet, I doubt a wall is going to stop the Mexicans and other immigrants from trying to find ways over, under, around, or through it.
You know what Muslims think about homosexuals? The vast majority of the Muslim world things you should be punished. In some countries in fact, polls asking of homosexuality should be punished as a crime get yes responses 100% of the time. There was a imam in Orlando calling for the dealth penalty for homosexuals. It's a horrendous and hateful religion. It's easy for you to try and be sanctimonous about it while you're not suffering from it.Are you serious? Banning a religion is unAmerican. The U.S. has contained everyone without a physical wall for decades.
If you visit a Communist country, which is illegal, an FBI interview awaits your return, to decide what to do with you. If you aren't prosecuted or worse, you'll at least lose your job.
Republicans in Congress are stonewalling Obama's attempt to normalize relations with Cuba.

As a lapsed/recovering Catholic I tend to lean heavily in this direction....but then, I'll probably go to hell for agreeing with you.....in truth, I believe religion is indeed the opiate of the masses. I think a better use of my time is to focus on my own spirituality.....Happens all the time.

Religions are for the mentally-handicapped and the intellectually lazy, and are the root cause of all evil on the planet.
Paul Ryan will get no cooperation from Trump, and will fade into obscurity.
Sources close to the operation say Sessions and the conservative Heritage Foundation have had a strong role in shaping the transition, in addition to staffers from the Bush administration, K Street and Capitol Hill.
At a Heritage Foundation event Thursday, John Yoo, a Berkeley Law professor and scholar at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, got a warm reception from the crowd by cracking about the closeness.
“I’m surprised there are so many people here because I thought everyone at Heritage was working over at transition headquarters,” Yoo said on the panel about Trump’s win. “I asked the taxi cab driver to take me to Trump transition headquarters and he dropped me off here, instead.”
Great article...made me remember being a young student when JFK ran for president and the uproar from the Protestants about a Catholic in office...it was like the Orange and Green in Ireland here....the small Midwestern town I went to school in was divided by a railroad track...the Protestants controlled business and politics...owned everything and lived mostly west of the tracks....the Catholics were renting and laborers for the Protestants pretty much and on the east side of the tracks...hence the old sayin' being from the wrong side of the tracks....I had family on both sides but my parents were atheists....I joined the Church because of the music and girls in pretty dresses......yep, that was my motivation....as UCD said....later on I dumped it for my own spiritual journey with the occasional lapses into pagan deboucheryHappens all the time.

By the way, I have several pieces of the Berlin Wall in my office...You are right about that. My bad by linking Trump's wall with the Berlin Wall.

there are christian pastors in AMERICA calling for the death penalty for gays.
ban christianity! :MARIS61:
So you could send them to the border if you were a true recyclerBy the way, I have several pieces of the Berlin Wall in my office...
Polls in the U.S. would have gotten the same answers before the current government campaign to liberalize gayness started with the Phil Donahue show. Every criticism you make of the Muslim world was true in the Christian world not long ago. Apparently you're trying to justify American war in the Middle East, killing another million Muslims after we just did so in Iraq.
By the way, I have several pieces of the Berlin Wall in my office...
My good friend from Dublin was there when they took that wall down..he had a piece of it...really cool ...hey Wook, did you make a display case for them?By the way, I have several pieces of the Berlin Wall in my office...
I have Trump's wall in my backyard.By the way, I have several pieces of the Berlin Wall in my office...
I should. i have them on a display rack.My good friend from Dublin was there when they took that wall down..he had a piece of it...really cool ...hey Wook, did you make a display case for them?
Nothing a good extension ladder won't fix!I have Trump's wall in my backyard.
Taller wall means taller ladders. Tunnels are not affected.Nothing a good extension ladder won't fix!
