Thankfully, I live in Vancouver. I believe we just re-elected our Republican US Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler. She's done good things for SW Washington, and is very active in job fairs and Veterans care.

Just like there are Muslims who use their religion to attack gays, there are Christians who do too. Christians who want to ban gay marriage, Christians who want to use their religion to deny us our rights. Christians who want to force kids to go to conversion therapy. Christians who have supported Uganda's efforts to kill people for being gay. Christians who believe in a Bible that says horrible things about being gay. And my brother who won't appear in pictures with my husband because of his religion

IF you want to say that REAL Christians don't believe any of this, fine. But then you must admit REAL Muslims aren't terrorists.

And it's not the same, MM. I've never tried to take away a Christian's right to marry. I've never refused a Christian services because they were Christian. I've never forced kids to get therapy to make them not Christian.
 
I mean how do you think I felt when I joined my brother (not the bad one) at church and they went on and on about how they must all vote yes on Prop 8, the measure in CA in 2008 that banned gays from marrying. When have I gathered a huge group of people together and encouraged them all to prevent Christians from marrying? Never.

It's not the same.

Before you go flip the fuck out, Trump has already stated very clearly that he has no intention to go against gay marriage. He stated it was already law by the Supreme Court.

As for the SCOTUS picks. They will be pro-life, constitutionalists. That doesn't guarantee that all that has been done will be undone. He made it very clear that he doesn't want the picks to advocate, but only interpret the existing laws fairly and according to the constitution.
