I know he’s injury prone but I would love to get Hayward and one of those picks:
If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t hate it. I’d be concerned about now have two injury prone guys at SF. But if Nas can shake these freak accidents off, he’ll be one of the main reasons I don’t mind this trade. I’d actually prefer he play something like 25-28mpg while Nas plays the rest.
I’m not totally sure how we pull it off though. Bledsoe + Winslow gets you to $23m, you could probably get creative with third teams or the $3.2m and $6.5m TPEs to match what they need. So after any trade for Hayward, the team would look like this:
Dame/Ant/Hayward/____/____
Ant/Hart/Nas/Watford/____
Keon/Keon/____/Brown III/____
Geez, if bring in Hayward though, you almost HAVE to draft a guy like Sochan and hope he makes an immediate defensive impact. I’d love to be able to be in a position to draft a guy like Sharpe or Mathurin at #7 and trade up with our other picks to get high enough to get Sochan. I’d settle for Sochan and Duren as well though. I think you need a high energy big that can potentially dominate defensively eventually.
If you could trade down from #7 and add Keon for #10 and Hachimura, you could probably get Sochan and Duren at #10 and #15.
Dame/Ant/Hayward/Hachimura/____
Ant/Hart/Nas/Sochan/Duren
____/____/Sochan/Brown III/____
This doesn’t include use of #36, #57, MIL 1st, MLE, or the $20m TPE.
I don’t mind Nurk being back but I don’t see him as a long term solution. Hoping Duren can start soon if he were on this team.
