You know how we basically sit around and talk basketball? You know how you do it with your friends, co-workers etc?
I don't think there's one GM on the planet that doesn't do that with most of his players. Also, I don't think there's one GM that doesn't have have an intimate relationship with a player he drafts that becomes the
best on the team. And, I'd wager to say most GMs at
least make a good attempt at having a good relationship with the team's best player if they draft them our not.
MFs in here that act like that same GM shouldn't consult said player about adding players to the roster. Players the best player may have to coexist with for years.
You'd consult your best player EVERY time and you'd be smart to do that. Or you'd be STUPID and add Detlef Schrempf to an already loaded roster.
