Draining the swamp

Yeah the search function is pretty much useless. Thinking about it more carefully, I doubt you did much gloating. More likely, you and Denny just made snarky posts back and forth like usual.

Well, we surely did that. Whether I gloated or not, I don't remember. I hope so :)

As far as the stuff on FB, maybe I just have a lot of friends who are liberal, but my feed is one big whine-fest.

I'm not on FB, so that's why I said I'd have to take your word for it.

EDIT: And as far as the "need to mention it constantly", not sure what the hell you're talking about unless once equates to "constantly" in your corner of the Internet.

Wasn't meaning just you. This is my corner of the internet, and 'butt hurt' seems to be the phrase of the month here.

I shall try to avoid using the phrase. I don't want to be cliche. Maybe "ass-chafed" next time. ;)

Or maybe China will consider this a 'provocation' and finally invade. Ya never know.

Taiwan is probably the number one investor in China's big manufacturing sector...they'd stand to lose a lot....every country on the planet is invested in Taiwan's success...they are a true democracy...it's become a joke that they are China's territory..Tsai Ing-Wen the president has been fearless about independence...she's not tied to the Kuomingtang old school of mainlanders like Ma Ying Jeou was before her. A Taiwanese president can't get off the plane in America since 1979 although they made an exception so Lee Tung Huei could visit his alma mater here once

If you voted for Trump because he’s ‘anti-establishment,’ guess what: You got conned

The greatest trick Donald Trump pulled was convincing voters he’d be “anti-establishment.”

Well, maybe not the greatest trick. But in a campaign full of cons, it has to rank close to the top. This was near the heart of Trump’s appeal to the disaffected and disempowered: Send me to Washington, and that “establishment” you’ve been hearing so much about? We’ll blow it up, send it packing, punch it right in the face, and when it’s over the government will finally be working for you again. And the people who voted for Trump bought it. After all, he’s no politician, right? He’s an outsider, a glass-breaker, a guy who can cut out the bull and get things done. Right?

But the idea that he would do this was based on a profound misunderstanding of what the establishment actually is, and who Donald Trump is.
Here’s a report on Trump’s transition from Eric Lipton of the New York Times:

President-elect Donald J. Trump, who campaigned against the corrupt power of special interests, is filling his transition team with some of the very sort of people who he has complained have too much clout in Washington: corporate consultants and lobbyists…Mr. Trump was swept to power in large part by white working-class voters who responded to his vow to restore the voices of forgotten people, ones drowned out by big business and Wall Street. But in his transition to power, some of the most prominent voices will be those of advisers who come from the same industries for which they are being asked to help set the regulatory groundwork.

Lol at Washington Post. The rag that hired 10 reporters to dig up dirt on Trump during his campaign. They have become the Salon and huffington Post. SAD

if they did it was a huge waste of money....you don't need to dig to collect Donald's speeches, tweets or bad behavior...he was famous for those things long ago already.

Typical MSM narrative."We lost, so let's continue to try to make up stories in order to sink the opposition, or anger the base.".

Guess what MSM? The majority of people don't even trust you. Go fuck off.

As I've said in other threads. I welcome them doing this. It will certainly guarantee another 4 years of a Trump presidency

Trickle down government won the election for Trump.

Trickle down government won the election for Trump.
Also Putin.
Also Comey.
Also voter suppression.
Also white nationalism.
Also stupid fuckwits believing fake news.
Also the incredibly stupid Electoral College system.
Also the compliant media happily treating the election like a reality TV show.
Also God wanting to hurry the apocalypse along so he can start again with apes.

Excuses, excuses. Throw in some ridiculous fearmongering.

The press may be coming around.
