I'm not happy with Helfrich but i'm not going to toss him out until we lose that game we shouldn't have lost or until we just look horrible vs a great team. So i'm assuming sometime this year is when i'll toss him under the bus.

Right.

Because there is no such as a thing as winning a game as close as it should have been. Not trying to be a debbie-downer but Helfrich seems to go out of his way to lower his expectations and its not out of realm of understanding to comprhend why this game was far closer than what it should have been.

Helfrich is the 5th best coach in the PAC-12.

Pretty lame.

We won a close game; something that didn't happen much under Kelly.

I don't think anyone will argue that Kelly isn't a better coach.

I miss our lethal run game. We have 3 "good" backs but we need that elite one, we need that Jonathan Stewart, LeGarette Blount, or LaMichael James/Kenjon Barner. We just don't have the "it" factor anymore either. Mariota is prolific but he can only do so much.

As a fan, I would be esstatic to pass the eye-ball test. Helfrich, Frost, need to go. I have more faith in DP that any of those but I wouldn't take him as a HC. This is one of those game where there's a loss within a win.

All im saying is im not into firing someone whos perceived screw ups havent cost us anything yet. Once he does something worth being fired im all down with going in a different direction.

Maybe we can get Frost to read the forum during the game for play ideas.

The silver lining is this team showed they can win a close one in a trap game. The next two weeks better be dedicated to getting healthy up front and getting the run game going because that's Oregon football, running the ball and then releasing the hounds through the air once the D creeps up.

Arizona last year was pretty bad lol my neighbor still brings it up.

Before I type, I just want to pardon myself and more appropriately......you. You seriously brought me online with your comment but seriously...........I have an itchy finger and was WAITING on someone to do that because I don't like our coaching staff. Not you as a person but the boosters fault.

This team doesn't have what it needs and it's not from a booster or and a athletic standpoint but it is a booster problem.

This place would blow up like that head exploding gif, if coaches used half the stuff suggested in here :p

For a team that has this much talent, we sure do have an underwhelming team. It's a coaching issue and not a one game issue IMO. Helfrich and Frost need to go IMO.

Chip Kelly never won a national title, and we didn't blow the other team out every game under him. Offense put up a lot of points with a make shift offensive line. The area of concern is the defense. It's looked pretty bad all year.

Weird, we only had 4 players catch balls tonight. Usually we spread the ball a lot more. It was pretty much the Allen and Lowe show tonight.

A big positive was as bad as the offense played tonight we didn't turn the ball over.

Breathe my brother. You and I both know replacing a coaching staff mid season that is ranked #2 and undefeated, during the season would be probably the worst idea of all time. Give the o-line to hopefully heal up and this is a different team IMO

It's not opinion it's fact. Look how much better we were against Michigan State who actually has a legit D.

I disagree. Chip took over a team where he actually spent more time on recruiting defensive talent than offensive talent. Secondly, he made good/great players on offense due to his system and more importantly his training that was well beyond the norm in ANY part of football. Scott Frost is a terrible OC with the talent he has; he makes the game more complicated than what is necessary and Helfrich allows him to do such. People who said that Allitoti was bad isn't chirping in on the play calling by DP and that's not fair. It's pretty clear to me that Helfrich is playing "Not to Lose" versus letting the players "Pin There Ears Back" and go out and make plays.

Frost is making this game harder than what it needs to be as well as DP and sorry but MH is the CEO of this team and the boosters put HF in place.

Oregon is going to lose 3, if not 4 games this year if the play calling on both sides of the ball don't get better.

hadnt noticed :P

I truly am a basketball guy but as I grow older, football is easier to follow due to the lesser amount of games. Me, I think BB is a better game to play but FB is better for the fan but a lot of parallels can be made between the two sports while respecting the differences. With that said, I can still tell the difference between a talent loss and a coaching loss and Oregon is on the brink of a few of the coaching losses. :=(

HEY! I loved the Statue of Liberty when Dixon and Stewart raped Michigan with it lol

Loved that play as well. BTW, that was Chip's first year as OC and it was on a big stage where in the BIG-HOUSE against Michigan where Oregon destroyed them and Michigan hasn't been the same since. :-)
