A big part of playing defense is attitude. Most of the time that attitude is good. Sometimes it bites you in the ass.

Yeah, and not just attitude but raw emotion, and that raw emotion is what bites them in the ass.
 
Marcus and Colin Kaepernick do the same damn thing... they carry the ball like a loaf of bread and it's so easy to cause a fumble.
