So that is confusing to me.... isn't that a safety? He stepped out the back of the endzone.

Man, I was even thinking, "just go down, just go down" because he was running slow enough that people were catching him from behind. I was worried he'd get hit from behind and have the ball jarred loose. That's not exactly what happened, but dammit.... our team needs to know when to go down.

So long as they win, which they will, it's actually not bad that they have a down game. It should help them focus going forward.

I'm real interested to see what adjustments they make second half.

I've never fully understood the difference. Could you explain it a bit BP?

As a team approaches the endzone the defense gets tighter and tighter. Initially the idea is to not let offensive players behind you. Always stay well behind them. But WSU is running players across the field and creating a lot of additional running room. We have to pressure Halliday and rough him up a bit.

Hmm... interesting. I guess it makes sense because we'd prefer they get field goals and not touchdowns.

Good thing we're doing this shit against Washington State at home. This would not beat Stanford.

But Washington's QB is on fire, and the Ducks have their 3 turnovers, but the Cougars coughed a few up too. Toughest game of the year so far. But at least the 2nd half won't be boring.

Agreed. All out mistakes can be corrected.
