The multi-family ownership group includes the Dundon, Zahr, Middleman, Cherng, and Tyle families along with Richard Chaifetz, Marc Grandisson, Nayel Nassar and Jennifer Gates,Taavet Hinrikus, and Dan Zilberman.

Seems like a lot of people in the group that owns the Blazers. Could end up being too many cooks situation.

Most billionaires are used to vetting through a board of directors. Dundon will call the shots and the other members of the ownership group will probably be more invested the stock value than the playbook. For a while Bill Maher was a minority owner of the Mets and he gave it up because he didn't want to attend board meetings. He enjoyed the seats and parking spot most for his investment. I think a lot of Dundon's group will be like Maher was with the Mets..just a wealthy box office owner with a good parking spot. Guys who more than likely just want to have perks and be able to give good tickets away to their visiting business clients while playing a round of golf.

Let's just hope so.

Hopefully he puts what ever money he has where his mouth is.
My biggest concern is that he keeps the radio broadcast crew..he didn't with the hockey team, he simulcast the live broadcast on the radio so it would mean Calabro and Hurd on the radio. To me radio play by play is unique because of details a tv broadcast doesn't need to provide. I fully expect to lose my favorite means of following Blazer games....the radio. Dundon is a cost cutting owner. He didn't hire an expensive coach for his hockey team either which could mean good things for Tiago's job security.

Next season, our new owners should bring Jody down for a game, and they should hang a banner in the rafters to honor Paul.

While we didn't win a title under his ownership, he was a great owner, and it was a hell of ride during his tenure.

I had thought that Dundon had full decision making power. If that's the case I'm not concerned. Super common to have minority owners.

If there is anything like the Bucks where other people get years to make decisions or a couple minority owners can together overrule Dundon - I'd be very concerned.
