I think KD is a tremendous player just didnt like that he went about demanding his trade. Plus he took their extension worth millions for several years.

That's why they call it risk/reward. If a trade was to happen, they'd want Ant instead of Grant.

Please do not mortgage the future to try to build a contender that won't contend. It is one thing to ask fans to sit through over a decade of winning nothing with Dame. It is another thing entirely to mortgage the next half decade after that to achieve the same result.

There is no guaranty Ant & Sharpe will win anything either. Even if Sharpe is great, he may not like Portland and force his way out. Have to live in the moment. Either way, i'm still gonna root for the Blazers. But Durant joining Dame could be special.

If that change made us contenders, sure. But it wouldn't and would defeat the purpose of trading for Durant.

Durant without Dame on our team is not a contender.

Durant with Dame is a contender.
