Blake has been playing well for us, this season, in that when he scores well, we often win, and he's been hitting the outside shots and complementing Brandon. BUT: he's still too slow to defend very well. He still has great difficulty penetrating. He's still a pretty unimaginative passer, particularly on the break (on those oh-so-rare occasions when there is one). Plus he missed a bunch of wide open jumpers last night that broke the game open for LA. I used to think we should just give Sergio more time, but he hasn't looked as creative as I remember, and doesn't seem to use Oden and Przybilla very well. Ironically (given my insistence that he's not a PG and he never will be) the most encouraging play I saw last night was from Bayless, when he penetrated and dumped to Aldridge for the RESOUNDING dunk. Of course, that was a bailout because he jumped and had nothing, but still.

So - is there anybody out there who might do better? How about Earl Watson, who is not only very available, he's come out and said he's certain he's going to be traded? He always had a good reputation for defense, but I recall that Nate didn't play him much when they were both in Seattle. Is that right? Anyone see him play much?

Watson's OK, but I see this as a lateral move at best.
