Even if it was "just condescending", then it was still an attack on him. You don't care about treating people with respect as long as nobody calls you the r-word.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that me asking earlier in this thread about why is "edumacate" racist was not meant as an attack on him. It was a simple question.

You know what I just realized. All the guys who want to arm teachers, are the same ones that voted for Trump, and are on the same side of this argument....... that's interesting.

What argument is that?

Ha!
You mean here in the forum? There are many teachers that also want the right to be armed. I am not sure all of them voted for Trump.
It is quite a big deal here in So Cal now with Teacher who want to be armed but the government fighting them.

Hillbilly isn't a race. And you keep moving in this hillbilly direction when we know why he said it. Context matters. Imo there's really no argument about it. He's not a hillbilly so why would we think that he's using hillbilly language?

Answer this for me:

My white side of the family (believe I have one or not) calls their kids "lil monkey" all the time. The Black kids (there are 4 of the 14) don't get called that. Why?

Because these forward thinking white folk understand that's why.

Monkey is widely known as a racial slur against black people. We all know this. Nobody would dispute that someone calling a black person "monkey" is being a racist piece of shit.

"Edumacate" is not a widely known racial slur. Most people have never heard it used that way. So all I was doing was asking you about why you thought it was racist and not just condescending. Also, Hillbilly and redneck are both commonly attributed to white people. If you asked anyone what color they would automatically assume if you said "hillbilly" or "redneck," what would they say? It's a racial slur that people don't really take seriously, and in some cases they just own it, but that doesn't make it any less of a racial slur.

I don't know what Nate's context was. I don't know if he was talking down to you. I don't know if he meant it to be racist. But just because someone is BEING racist doesn't mean that the word they're using is generally racist, and that was all I was trying to find out and discuss. You keep going back to who said it and what he meant and that has never been my point of discussion. Not once. I only wanted to know if saying "edumacate" was considered racist at its core. If two white people say "edumcate" to each other, are they making fun of black people? That's all I wanted to know.

Some of the race baiters should live in Hawaii say, in Pahoa or Parkers Ranch area.....when a 500 lb Samoan American calls you a haole....try arguing your point..

That is one of the funnest visions stored away in my memory. Still vivid today, A sailor running flat out through the jungle, clutching is white trousers.
With huge Samoan in his tracks, shouting some dang thing!

Two of us standing there watching this, and I know we both were working hard trying to figure out how to not get a part in that scene.

Why does this upset you? It's just an observation that just came to me. It's true though right? The same 4 or 5 guys that are all about pro gun this and I gotta protect my family with a missile launcher also defend everything that person in the whitehouse does no matter how idiotic it is, are also the 4 or 5 here in this thread continuing to go at a black man about what he considers racist. Seems like a pattern I just noticed and wanted to share. Am I wrong?

Cool, so let me ask you, is it okay to make assumptions about people?

I didn't vote for Trump.

So is it bigoted to just assume that someone who is pro gun rights is also a Trump supporter? Is it bigoted to also assume that someone who is pro-gun rights is a conservative?

Should I make assumptions about you and your lifestyle because of one of your beliefs? You're clearly making thinly veiled assumptions about me as a person because of one thing that I believe. What does that say about you?

You are wrong... about a great many things....

You keep bringing up race baiting, but all that some of the people on here are doing is trying to call out that it's not okay to be racist against white people. That there is a double standard in this country where it's okay to be racist against white people, or tell them that they're not entitled to having an opinion.

I find it interesting that you bring up Hawaii, because I know people who live there. They have told me that there are places on the island that you simply do not go as a white person. One of my friends had her cousin come visit her, and she warned him not to go out without her because the locals knew her, but he didn't listen. The locals beat the fuck out of him for being a white guy in the wrong area.

So yes, let's bring up the fact that local Hawaiians can be openly racist towards white people, and we just think it's funny.... until they beat our ass for being in the wrong neighborhood.

When is this thread gonna get locked?

So most of you Blazer fans can get back into the general forum and talk Blazers again?

We miss you guys over there. I'm lonely right now....

Fuck. Everyone has to take everything sooooooo seriously.

I've been playing devils advocate for years now, trying to be a drama queen for deflection purposes among others, but it hasn't worked... at all.

Now people think im all serious about things...

I say this to no one in particular, but what are these 16 pages actually going to do to help anything other than further segregate our lovely forum?

There was a black guy once that was beaten to a pulp by a bunch of white cops.. I think his name was Rodney....????

When the riots broke out after the cops were deemed innocent... this same man went on TV and pleaded with the country to just get along.

A BLACK man, who was beaten by White cops was able to move on without hatred in his heart and just pray for peace.

If only more of us... Black AND White... could be more like Rodney.

"CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG AND RESPECT EACH OTHERS SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES?"

Please? I beg of you my friends.....

Bro, this has nothing to do with you. You don’t register with me anymore. Move along. Wasn’t even talking about you.
