Tonight's game showed that we can expect more from Oden in year 5 than what Okafor is currently giving the Bobcats.

not really, Okafor had 29 points, 18 boards and 3 blocks about a month ago against Washington (23 Dec) and 27 points, 17 boards and 3 locks against the Mavericks (11 Dec).....so, ummmm.....no.....it doesn't show anything

Good point. I looked at his game log. He had a much of low scoring games at the beginning of the season, but over the last several weeks, he has been dominant. Good for Emeka.

yeah, he has picked up his game as of late.

I would like for Oden to get some consistency and hope he has a great career...he has the potential...he just needs the hunger and the chance to develop.

Exactly. Even before tonight's game I found the Oden bashing EXTREMELY premature and unnecessary. I'm sure he'll have another bad game this week, and I'll still feel the same way. It is completely unfair to judge him, or this team for that matter.

Who is "bashing" Oden? I see people saying he isn't ready to be the primary focus of the offense, which is true as admitted by those who are advocating that approach, but I don't see anybody "bashing" him.

I don't see anybody bashing Oden. I see people being critical of him; that happens to every other player on the roster. People can't air criticisms of Oden without becoming a part of somebody's signature?
