Eric Bledsoe

Well right now we need that scorer in the 2nd unit. I know Pat as been pretty good coming off the bench the majority of the time but I don't think it going to last through out the year but hopefully it does.

I trust Pat to make an open shot but that's pretty much it offensively. On a playoff team he's a fringe rotation guy imo. Shouldn't stop Neil from trying to upgrade. Plus he's also a free agent after the season.

Kind of off topic but the sixers and magic have to make decisions on Okafor and Hezonjas options by the end of the day. Both could be traded today. I'd buy low on either one.

Me too. I think there is a decent chance that Celtics will deal for Okafor.

Woj says a third team would need to take on Jackson. I'd love to have Jackson off the bench if he was ok with it.

I would much rather have Bledsoe. He plays D. Jackson has always seemed like a bit of chucker to me.

Oh yeah Bledsoe is a lot better for sure, but I was thinking of taking on Jackson while dumping Leonard or something.

New Orleans was the third team involved in today's Eric Bledsoe-to-Detroit talks, multiple sources told SI.com. After a morning of trade discussions, the proposed deal is now dead.

Phoenix would have received Detroit's 2019 first-round pick, New Orleans' 2018 first-round pick, Alexis Ajinca and Omer Asik.

----------

Would anyone be open to the idea of dumping Leonard, cap filler, and a pick for Jackson?

I do not want Reggie Jackson and his selfish game on this team.

We can't afford to give up a pick...ever. We can't get a top free agent, so drafting good players and other teams castoffs is all we have. At least until Lebron gets so frustrated with losing in Cleveland and decides to make the right choice and comes to Ptown.....Or not.

thats just a great trade value for MIL, fucking Monroe and a first round pick for Bledsoe

Phoenix got a first round pick without having to take back any salary and will save money with Monroes expiring contract. They did better than I thought they would.

It is hard to hate the Bucks (they are my favorite East team) but man, that team could be tough someday and I want to hate them soon!

They are already pretty tough and with Bledsoe...thats a damn good team

Question is what happens to Chandler or Monroe. Does one of them get bought out? Trade?

I wonder if they will even play monroe

They will buy out monroe before chandler

Speaking from a pure basketball standpoint, Monroe would fit well in our second unit with Davis moving to power forward.

Jesus they couldn't even get this pick unprotected. What a mess of a frontoffice. If you check what they got in total for Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas I think you would commit suicide if you were a Suns fan.

If I was a suns fan, I'd be excited that if they had beaten the Blazers they'd have...well, still a crappy record.

For Thomas they ended up with: Marcus Thornton and Marquese Chriss.

For Dragic they ended up with: Danny Granger, John Salmons, and 2018+2021 Heat first round picks.

For Bledsoe they ended up with: Greg Monroe and 2018 1st+2nd round picks.

Honestly, it isn't as bad as it seems. They have a lot of picks upcoming.

Glad he moved east. Suns look like they are loading up with picks. They now have three 1st rounders. I would not give up ours, but I do think we need size when Nurk goes to the bench. I would take Chandler for this year and next and hope Collins gets a bit bigger in the meantime. I remember seeing Chandler when he was a rookie, thin as a rail. Collins will get bigger too.

Chriss is not really good. The Heat pick is protected 1-7 and the problem is they gave a guy that was third team all NBA the previous season for some future pick that was not even unprotected. And the Bucks pick they only get it if it's 11-16 so probably they don't get and maybe even not next year 2019 because it has to be 4-16 and the Bucks should be a playoff team in the East easily. So that pick should be incoming by 2020. Who is alive till then? :P

Looks like the Suns are looking to trade Monroe before buying him out

Suns To Explore Greg Monroe Trades Before Discussing Buyout

The Phoenix Suns will explore the trade market for Greg Monroe before engaging on buyout talks.

The Suns acquired Monroe as part of the Eric Bledsoe trade.

Monroe is on a $17.8 million expiring contract and doesn't fit into the Suns' long-term plans.

Monroe is unlikely to remain with the Suns past the trade deadline or buyout deadline.

The Suns will need a roster spot by Dec. 6th when the two-way contract of Mike James needs to convert into a regular roster spot.

Bucks will suck at rebounding so much after this trade. I know Monroe wasn't really good for them but at least he could rebound. Who is going to replace that?
