Swannigan/Leonard/Napier/ future picks for Bledsoe. Does that get it done?

Dame/Bledsoe
CJ/Connaughton
Harkless/Turner
Vonleh/Collins
Nurk/Davis

I really like that. I think it clears up the logjam at the four and brings in a steady PG off the bench that ca n light it up with Pat.

I actually would like to keep Napier.

Vonleh... I just don't think he has a future here. I like Biggie and Collins more, and it's not based on physical talent. I think Vonleh is just as talented as those guys. It's all about mentality. I see zero hesitation when Biggie and Collins get the ball. Vonleh looks scared to shoot. I think Collins is the PFotF. I think Biggie is a great backup. I just don't see much room for Vonleh.
Is there that much room for Napier though? I actually have seen a lot from him this season and would like to keep him also. Actually if we somehow lost our present PG, I would feel ok with Napier as a starter. Maybe it is the way that Connaughton has suddenly improved that makes me optimistic.

Nurkic
Vonleh
Connaughton
Napier
Davis

All free agents at the end of the year. There's no way we're paying all of them. Vonleh, Davis, and Connaughton could all be looking at 8m per season, at the minimum. Napier should be cheaper, but looking at it from his perspective, a trade would be ideal. He needs to play.

I'd be surprised if we DIDNT trade one or more of the above (except Nurk obviously) for someone still on their rookie scale contract. The Plumlee trade was a great example. He was playing his best ball when we traded him, so I wouldn't put too much stock into how well some of these guys are performing, it's about who Olshey/Paul are willing to pay.

Why do we want a toxic person like Eric Bledsoe on our team again? So he can piss and moan and demand a trade when we're not winning? Seriously, fuck this guy. He doesn't deserve the privilege of making millions playing basketball.

I'd say Olshey knows him as well as anyone so I'd leave that decision to him, I doubt we pursue him for a few reasons but who knows

Hold on.... so Bledsoe is toxic because he doesn't want to waste his prime on a team that isn't gonna make the playoffs for 5+ years?

He didn't complain when the Suns benched him so they could tank. Privately asked for a trade. I don't blame him at all for taking his career into his own hands. Respect is a two way street.

Bledsoe is toxic.

You're taking a risk that he's not going to pout here, if you trade for him. He's shown he's the kind of guy who will be detrimental to his team.

Radioactive.

Was Vince Carter toxic when he wanted out of Toronto? Or Barkley when he wanted out of Philly?

How has he proven that exactly?

Suns have a well known issue at the top, so it's kind of funny to see anyone siding with them here.

Team sits a guy because they're trying to lose games on purpose

Player doesn't complain. Professionally asks for a trade.

Team doesn't fulfill it.

Player gets rightfully upset.

------

Yeah, real toxic.

Someone like Carmelo is much more of a toxic player than Bledsoe imo.

Other then Eric's tweet (which admittedly he should have kept to himself) he has been nothing but professional.

Now this isn't to say I am trying to get Bledsoe necessarily.

Because he pouted and demanded a trade and had his team send him home.

That's concrete proof.

Let's keep this realistic. Lillard isn't on Bledsoes level have you seen some of his shots the last two games??
I’m not sure if you’re being ironic but here’s a real question: if you prefer Bledsoe to Lillard are you ready to only have him for 55 games? What’s the plan for the other 27 games when he’s inevitably injured?
