So the question is what veteran SF could POR be trying to get from another team?

I can't believe it would be Kyle Korver....

Anyone have any ideas?

Translation: Minnesota is desperately trying to find a SF to match the indispensable value of one of our core/franchise guys.

If it's Korver + Bulls 1st rounder + Minny's 1st rounder, I'm okay with it.

Let's try this again since my original post seems to be all screwed up

So ESPN's Ric Bucher is reporting than POR & MIN are working on adeal that would send 2 1st round picks MIN and MEM to POR with a verteran SF from another team, who has been identified....

The question is what veteran SF could POR be trying to get from another team?

I can't believe it would be Kyle Korver....

Anyone have any ideas?

Boy, who knows. Luol Deng? Trevor Ariza? Iggy? Assuming it is a serviceable starting SF and depending on the picks, I think that's a pretty good return.

yeah..whos first round picks would be the big question..

I dont think we lose much even though I am not a Korver fan

Korver's not a starter and isn't he pretty much Babbitt but older and shorter? I hope it isn't Korver coming back, but that could make for some interesting lineups I guess.

The picks are MEM 2013 pick and MIN pick, which could be unprotected (or top 3 protected).....

Here are some names I came up with:

Wilson Chandler DEN
Luol Deng CHI -
Marshon Brooks - NJ (more of a SG)
Maggette or Prince from DET
Granger from IND (highly doubt it)
Aminu NO
Iguodala or Turner (doubtful) from Philly
Salmons from SAC

Don't see a lot of other names really out there...

Interesting quote...trying to find vet SF who have been out there...Korver was brought up this morning, can't believe that this is whom POR is targeting....

Korver is a hell of a shooter--we all know that. At $5m/year, he's not a bad value, either. He would have been a great fit with Oden/Roy/Aldridge/Nate...

Why would we want him now, though? Would we really want to have a 31 year-old one trick pony as our starting small forward?

I don't know why we would bother. The two first rounders would have more potential value, I'd think.

I guess we'll see...

Hopefully it's Iggy. He'd be a good add and the first rounders would just be gravy.
