I watched ESPN's Sportscenter last night to see the Blazers highlights, and there were none! I watched for the full hour, and they covered every NBA game except Portland and Oklahoma City. Any one else have the same problem?

I noticed that too. Definitely annoying, can't say I'm surprised either.

SportsCenter is a joke. I prefer NBA TV to get my highlights now.

I get my highlights on NBA.com generally. It's the longest clip show you can find.

They actually were showing them this morning on the early sportscenter. They highlighted LA and that was about it. They did reference the fact that the Blazers are "on a roll" after winning the last 4 games by 20 or more points. They also did a seperate screen shot where they focused in on Aldridges stats from the game and mentioned that Rick Barnes had been there.

You didn't miss much though....

It will all work itself out. i remember back in the day when we were an elite team, they would lead off their highlights with us every night. It will happen again soon. Speaking of ESPN, I had the pleasure of meeting J.A. Adande the other night. Wasn't a very friendly man. Not cool at all. That's too bad. Used to like listening to his opinions, now I'm kinda turned off by him.

I had the same experience. I even rewound the whole show thinking I had missed the Blazer highlights while not paying attention.

I don't think I've watched an entire episode of sportscenter in about 5 years.

An absolute waste of time.

Every 14 minutes they sneak in a 12 second highlight package of a single game then go back to screaming at each other about Terrel Owens.

It seems like ESPN is doing to Sports what MTV did to Music.

They probably didn't mention that Cleveland is the only other team in the league that managed to win four games in a row, and only four, by margins like that. Those opponents were the Knicks, Pacers, Bobcats, and Raptors.

That's the feeling I get, too. Used to be a great show with highlights, and now, they just try to draw up controversy with everything. I can only handle enough Brett Favre, Cowboys, TO, Lakers, Yankees, Red Sox, Manny and A-Roid in my life.

Nope they didn't, only that they're "on a roll"...

SportCenter used to be practically a religion for me, but since Olbermann and Patrick left, it just hasn't been the same.

SportsCenter is all about the flashiest plays of the night. Good defense and dominating rebounding just doesn't make for a good highlight reel. Evidently, the Blazers didn't have enough flashy dunks or behind-the-back passes to meet the SportsCenter minimum flash test. All they did was win by 35 on the road and move up to the 4th seed in the Western Conference. I'll take winning over highlights any day.

BNM

Then what was the pleasure in meeting him?
