Well these precise numbers seal it. With this unquestionably consensus highly-ranked roster, we are a lock for the Finals.

Too bad we don't have bets riding on these numbers.

Update ("Down" to 254):

Blazer's 10th man: 8.5, Average 10th man: 9.5 >>>>> Net: +1.0
-------
Blazer's 11th man: 12.3, Average 11th man: 10.5 >>>>> Net: -1.8
Blazer's 12th man: 12.6, Average 12th man: 11.5 >>>>> Net: -1.1
Blazer's 13th man: 13.7, Average 13th man: 12.5 >>>>> Net: -1.2
Blazer's 14th man: 14.1, Average 14th man: 13.5 >>>>> Net: -0.6
Blazer's 15th man: 14.7, Average 15th man: 14.5 >>>>> Net: -0.2

Already, our bench is looking better than their peers. ESPN slates our 10th man as better than the average 10th man, and our 9th man better than the average 9th man (whose not been chosen yet.)

Great minds think alike. I was averaging the 5 differences this morning. But you had the extra angle, finding in advance that our 10th man would rank above most 10th men.

So far this has been one of the better player ranking lists I've seen. Obviously we haven't got to the bulk of rotational players yet so we'll see how that works out. In years past it has been pretty good though. When its done it'd be neat to plug all the ranks in excel and come up with average rank for rotational players on each team.

You do that......I'll be doing blow off strippers sweaty backs while you're doing that. Send me a link.

The list is at 213 and still no Blazers since Meyers at 255. If there are no Blazers today that would mean we have 9 guys in the top200 while the league average is only 6. I noticed Matt Bonner at 219; Meyers should make it a goal to step up to Bonners production level since they have such similar skill sets.

I'm wonder what bench players of ours will rank ahead of our starters. I expect Mo to be ahead of Lopez but could also see Wright or even CJ being ranked ahead of Lopez. Maybe Mo could be ranked ahead of Wes.

Leonard has gone from 330 last year to 255 this year.
We're at 208, so apparently Thomas Robinson and Damian Lillard will go up.

2012 Rankings for reference:
20 LMA
63 Batum
109 Matthews
125 Mo Williams
169 RoLo
182 Dorrell Wright
211 Damian Lillard
215 Thomas Robinson
330 Leonard
----
323 Earl Watson

Ahh good find Wiz! I was just thinking its odd how Thomas Robinson had such an underwhelming rookie season yet he will be ranked ahead of Otto Potter at #207. I think acquiring him was my favorite move of the last few seasons.

ESPN projects Thomas Robinson as just a bit worse than the average 2nd man coming off the bench. Regardless of the talk about having a bad year, the 215 member ESPN panel seems to recognize Robinson's elite rebounding skill.

edit: TRob's twitter link on the ESPN nbarank page is wrong. Just stick a T in front of the link they have if you want to see the proper twitter page.

They're going to rank McCollum as an average 6th man, even though he's our 9th or 10th? Too high.

Interesting Wiz. Can you also do this for the other 29 teams and compare?

He came out as a little better than the average 7th man. It's interesting to know what 200+ national writers think.

Anyone else see a trend there? From the bottom up, we start out about average then get steadily worse through the third string. The second stringers start out quite strong then taper off toward average. Is our strength centered around the end of the bench or will things change with the starters? Other than LMA and Lillard, I think that "average" pattern is going to hold. And if Lillard's recent #15 PG rank has any merit, he'll probably come in around average, too.

#204 Thomas Robinson
#200 Dorrell Wright
#185 CJ

Sorry guys, didn't see anybody mention Robinson and Wright.

Kirk Hinrich at 183. The guy struggled to get his PER over 10 and has trouble staying in front of PGs and SGs.

That rank puts him at 7th man for 27 teams.

Are these rankings really good?

They are an average rating of over 200 ESPN prognosticators, then they rank them by rating. As a Blazer homer it's nice to see what the general consensus is rather than one writer who has biases and drudges.

I've really been enjoying these posts, Wizard Mentor. When's the next batch coming?
