So, I really like the NBATV video because it shows me that Cho was doing what I thought he should do, and that is reevaluate things after the original "diagCHOnsis" period, where he said this team was "average". LMA exploded into an All-Star, and clearly that changed the minds of the Blazers, although some posterssaid that should not occur. Minstrel, do you hear me?![]()
I thought that for years on the ESPN board, Nate. What's weird is that jlprk kept posting on the ESPN board long after everybody else, and MARIS moved to BBF (iirc).
Either way, when "they" used to have conversations with each other on ESPN, it was pure gold. Now, "they" don't.
So who do you statrt? Nic has not been good coming off the bench in the past. He is older now, but I hope he doesn't go into a funk if delegated to the bench.
I would like to see something similar to earlier in his career where he starts but often may not finish and was content with his role playing 20 or so minutes a game. Wallace could be that instant energy off the bench that Nate can go to early.
And then you got this whole Roy Matthews thing to deal with.
Good luck Nate
How is this supposed to help our drive to get younger? Now we're stuck with another old guy. How long till we can move his expiring contract?
You should also check out the video "Inside the NBA: Good deal or bad deal". The TNT crew basically talks about the Wallace trade for four minutes.

At least Minstrel gets me, so get this: We helped a team that is only 1.5 games out of the playoffs. That's right, when Charlotte makes the playoffs, the whole league will be laughing at us. I hate it when anyone laughs at me. The end of the season will be humiliating when we are the laughing stock of the East.
Shhh..got to whisper that you notice the team in the South got 2 whites and 1 black and gave us only 1 black and no whites? You see their thinking? We could have gotten more by threatening them to not include Marks. We should have scared them with no-Marks. We could have doubled our take by throwing in some blond albino like Babbitt.
In summary, we get low marks for taking in this old vet who like Oden, has been injured his whole long 10-year career, and for sacrificing Bayless, Przybilla, Cunningham, Marks, a 1st round pick, the $3 million, a burden for Cho of filling 2 newly-empty roster slots and a tough challenge to McMillan until he does, the humiliation of handing a playoff spot to Charlotte, the loss of a playoff spot for Indiana or Milwaukee costing their owners millions and their coaches their jobs, a reversal of fortune for Michael Jordan from his awful reputation as a trader saving his possible expulsion from the Hall of Fame, job security for newby coach Paul Silas trying to prove himself in this league, a giant face-saving for a red-faced David Stern, a small atoll produced from a capsized yacht when Paul Allen goes missing, and the probable return of Tim Donaghy.
Was this really worth the cost?

That's right, when Charlotte makes the playoffs, the whole league will be laughing at us. I hate it when anyone laughs at me. The end of the season will be humiliating when we are the laughing stock of the East.

Here are his MISSED games for his 9 seasons: 28, 35, 45, 12, 27, 10, 20, 11, 6. And we don't even know what it will be for his 10th. I hate to think about that. Will his luck of the last 2 seasons hold up, or will our "lucky trainers" work their "magic" on him?
If the poor old guy is on his cane for that many games BEFORE our trainers get their hands on him, what's his condition going to be AFTER they sprinkle their Oden dust?
This poor old hobbler is the opposite of Andre Miller, who never misses a day. Yet we're begging the league to take Miller off our hands, so we can add MORE cripples to the wheelchair squad.
The valuable 2011 pick we gave away was our only compensation for Bayless. For some old guy in his 10th year in the NBA, we gave
Jarryd Bayless
...widely considered on this board to be a future all-star...sells tickets with explosive drives
Joel Przybilla
...possibly the most underrated player in the history of the NBA...2nd best player on a 54-win team...MUCH better than the once per generation superstar Oden...McMillan courageously started him despite the national media screaming for Oden to start
Dante Cunningham
...worth a mid-1st round pick all by himself...media today correctly called him high-IQ, tough defender, very good shooter, can play either forward or center, may be future all-league defender...was starting center when traded
Sean Marks
...overcame all odds from a small nation in crisis...good enough for 10-year career in the NBA..inspiring heartwarming story...would start for most teams
a 1st-round pick
...you say it will be about 25th?...that's where Gerald Wallace was drafted..could be another Vlade Divac
$3 million cash?
...Pritchard used to disclose the cash part months later...don't be surprised when you find out
I enjoyed your Rolling Stones reference in a previous post. In fact, I'm going to rep you for it, but not from that post.
How do you like that?
It wasn't me who made a Rolling Stones reference, but too late, you already promised.

Every segment I see of Barkley, it's clear that he's only there to give the drunken fan view.
At least he's very good at his job.

I don't rep but you may rep me in a thread of this title. I do plan to someday change my policy and pay back all the people who have repped me, someday, somewhere where you least expect it.
