I'm VERY excited about the Blazers winning streak! But I do admit to having some trepidation about facing a fully healthy contender. I think that Warriors game just before the All Star break was a fluke; or maybe the Warriors just mailed it in. They're missing 5 rotational players......Portland wouldn't win 18 games in a season if we were missing that many people. Can you imagine having to start Layman and Meyers for any extended period of time?!

I'm eager to see how we deal with the remaining schedule.....we have some VERY tough games coming up. They will determine who we really are. Was this winning streak a fluke, or was it a legit sign that we are finally moving forward as a team?

That remains to be seen. But I am optimistic. Especially with our Lord and Savior Damian Christ playing at MVP level.

The players love him and the coaches love him. They all say how important he is to the team on and off the court. It's the fans that are giving him grief over his play for the contract NO gave him. It's brutal during game threads even when he is locking down players. It's not all about stats. Anybody else notice how he has stepped up on both sides of the court during this stretch?

Sounds like I need to follow him on Twitter though. I've missed the conversation that made him say those things. He doesn't seem like the kind of person that would lash out without a reason.

Let's go get #10!
 
Some of the amateur accountants on here act like they are the ones writing checks. Turner is here whether you like his contract or not, he's a good defender and he's been playing well lately. Seems like an odd time for some dipshit to lay into him. 9 wins deep, two of which against the defending champs, and people still find a way to bitch. Evan is well liked by the team and chemistry is important. That "fan" needs his bitch ass boo'd out of the arena.

Check out his Instagram. I personally read a comment where he made a remark to someone something very close to the effect of "I'm not a homewrecker; if I was, I'd cum on your mothers and sisters face and then leave".

I read that, and I was like "......and why the hell are we paying you all this money?!"

Could you even imagine Dame saying something like that to anyone; regardless of how annoying they were? Doctor Jack would rise from the dead and bitch slap him so hard that people in Oakland would cry!

For someone that averages 10 points a game and makes $17 Million a year, I expected FAR better of Turner than garbage like that.

I occasionally write smut in my free time. I don't have a problem with dirty words in the context of the appropriate adult humor among friends in the right setting, or some anonymous person writing it online in the appropriate venue, in the appropriate circumstance (IE: smut). That's not what I have an issue with.

But when you are representing a professional sports team, which not only includes the community/city in which you play, but representing upstanding people like Dame, CJ, and Nurk, and you have an active Social Media account where everyone knows who you are......then you MUST hold yourself to a higher standard! And saying something like that about someone's MOTHER and SISTER.......that's WAAAYYY below the belt. That's just not appropriate in ANY setting.

The guy is a dumbass, period. He's NOT worth his contract with that kind of attitude with the PPG he averages; I don't give a shit if he personally punches Draymond Green in the face. He is completely and totally worth criticism.

His social media game is on point. He comes off likeable to me. Him telling some fans to fuck off is hilarious because I know he’s mostly tongue in cheek. He talks to his teammates the same way if you see some of his instagram comments. I guess some people just don’t get his humor, which is fine, but take it for what it is.

Why would Dame care? It’s more likely he laughed at it as well.

Doesn’t mean I necessarily find “cum on your moms face” funny, but to me it’s nothing more than a bad joke, but still, a joke. And I’m also pretty sure it was in response to a troll, so context matters.

Wow. Yeah, we're definitely gonna have to agree to disagree on this. Dame confronts people in hallways who make anti-gay insults to him. I highly doubt he'd find this even remotely funny.

I would like to see the whole conversation before I pass judgement. As @Scalma said he is a known joker but my guess is he was taking serious crap from somebody and was fed up. He is not Dame though and will handle it without the sugar coating.

9 game win streak.

He played 18, 22, 14, 19, 22, 33, 23, 21, and 27 minutes.

32:45 against OKC where he went 6-10/17 points.
27:26 against GSW where he went 5-11/12 points.

I'd rather have him than not have him.

For the record, I don't have a problem with people confronting hecklers. I DO have a problem with people getting disgustingly personal about it. Insulting people's relatives in such a way when you are a multi-millionaire celebrity representing an organization and city that is bigger than you is not just low, but really fucking childish. At some point, you have to draw the line and be the better man.

If it really upset him so much to be heckled by some nobody on Instagram, a simple fix would be to go out and sit in his Bentley or Ferrari and think it over before responding.

He should just ignore that stuff entirely. It should be relatively easy, if it isn't he just needs to check his bank account more often.

I'm not the FIRST one to come up with this but it is a proven practice that ignoring bullies takes the fun out of it for them and they'll likely stop doing it.

Who knows......maybe I'm just overreacting about it. I guess I'm just so used to seeing Dame be the picture of Class, Respectability, and Maturity; the perfect representative for our team.

I guess when I see someone on our team performing less than him while spouting nonsense on social media, it gets my blood boiling a little.

The team really likes him so I am taking that into account.
