Who's the "they" here? Is this a veiled accusation of anti-semitism? Because that's a pretty fucking tired response to criticism of individual Israelis or Zionism.

And you have "a much bigger issue" with a person slamming Deni than you have with somebody defending what Israel is doing in Gaza? Seriously?

Deni said he would be happy to sit down with anyone and discuss it. How horrible of him to be willing to share his perspective.

“Not everyone understands 100 % what is happening in Israel," Avdija said on Sunday, via Ynet. "Many are interested, and I always explain the whole situation properly, from the right and good side. I try to show reality as much as possible.”

And for that, she said the NBA would be better without him? I was afraid this shit was going to happen when they traded for him.

Her brother said she doesn't say anything around him. Of course she wouldnt as Deni is a fellow NBA player.

If she feel's so comfortable being judgmental towards Deni, who imo, has done nothing wrong, she may need to look internally and seek help. So easy to spout off online.....

OK, I'm not going to get into a whole thing here (because I can already feel moderators getting nervous), so I'll make this my last comment. Think about all of the Palestinians whose family members have been murdered, often while queuing up for food, because they're being starved. Imagine a parent whose child has been blown apart in front of them being told "I'm willing to explain to you why this is justified, from the right and good side". Do you get it now?
 
Can we get the politics garbage out of here? Deni is awesome, glad we have him - and if you don't like that he is willing to talk about his experience with anyone, you can go pound sand in an appropriate forum, just don't do it here.

What I understand is that you just misquoted him. A good example of why communication is generally a good thing.

Look if you don't want political comments, don't make political claims. Characterizing what he said as "being willing to talk about his experience" is disingenuous at best. You make it sound like he wants to talk about what it's like to be an NBA basketball player.

Certainly love Deni as a basketball player. And he can't help being an Israeli. And a great number of Israelis are doing the right thing and protesting what their genocidal government is doing.

Markkanen is on an absolute tear this summer. He's scoring like 2 points for every minute he plays. If this means he's back to the form of two seasons ago (recovering from this past season's slump) would people be interested in trading for him? He would instantly fill a need for shooting (and for scoring) and we could surround him with defenders so his defensive inadequacies could be countered (after all, Utah had a very good defense with him at the start of the season before this one).

He's 28, so protestations to the contrary, I don't think he's part of Utah's rebuild. But he could be part of ours. The way he's playing, though, I don't think this will cut it.
