OT Eurobasket

If I had to pick a second team: Dennis Schroder, Nando De Colo, Bjelica, Saric and maybe Semih Erden. Gobert is a better player but France has been fairly underwhelming and doesn't deserve two players. I don't like De Colo but he has been their best scorer pretty much.

(Tony Parker and Spanoulis have picked their spots - I have a feeling they're going to explode at some point. Best team so far is Serbia. Team with the brightest future is Croatia.)

Papanikolaou has been totally invisible for Greece. Overall they seem to be favoring the players who've played in Europe, with the exception of Calathes, but he played in Greece fairly recently. Even Giannis hasn't had big minutes. But I don't know what's up with K-Pap. He's turned into Greece's Claver.

Pau Gasol takes over a close game and kicks Poland's ass. (Looks like Rudy didn't play, so Claver actually got some minutes! But will not want to remember the turnover at 0:29 in this video)

Spain wins by a whisker! Looks like Claver played and did pretty well (8 boards) but it was mainly Gasol and secondarily Mirotic. Meanwhile K-Pap got ZERO minutes. Eesh - not the Summer he was hoping for with Denver deciding whether to pick up his option. I guess maybe playing the same position as Giannis hurt him? Because it used to be he was the better prospect than Printzesis, but the latter got WAY more of a role this Eurobasket.

So who is winning tomorrow between Spain and France? Gotta admit I couldn't even watch one game this year, but I might look for an online feed tomorrow for this one. Gobert-Gasol matchup should be great... This same French team beat a more stacked Spain last summer if I remember right, but Gasol seems like he is on a mission this year.

I've got to go with France, just because, as you say, they beat Spain with Marc AND Pau last year, but both teams have had their shaky moments. If there's a secret weapon for Spain it would be Mirotic, though - he's definitely been their second best player. Basically it's all on Tony Parker, though.

Batum.... We'll meet again. Don't know where. Don't know when.

A great game, 4 ex-Blazers, Batum had a huge 3-pointer to tie the game in regulation, then was fouled on a 3 by Claver down 3 with a few seconds left in OT, missed the first, missed the 2nd, missed the 3rd on purpose and France lost.

Man! I thought France were running away with it, so I went out. What a game to miss! Happy for Spain - they have 3 ex-Blazers to France's 1. San Antonio have to be worried at how bad Parker looks.

LMA chose an old and darn near senior citizen team over an up and coming Blazers team...Can we say it?... WHAT A FOOL!

I don't think it matters what happens in the final (Serbia over Spain - book it) - Pau is this year's MVP, easy. He got 40 points in this game. Meanwhile Tony Parker went 4/17 for 10 points...

Pau Gasol is a stud. No way will he far as fall in some fantasy drafts as he did last year.
