Posted this in the sky is falling thread about Portland losing the Blazers.

Insert worst case scenario folks that somehow find delight in being scared about losing our team.

Scoot, Sharpe, Camara, Clingan, Dame, Deni, krejci.

That is 7. Then maybe whoever we trade for this offseason or select with our draft pick.... or one of Jrue or Grant.

If they add 2 Western Conference teams, Seattle and Las Vegas, it means one current WC team will get moved to the East Coast.

:Sly:

Or they could just move the Grizz to the EC but I like doom and gloom therory better.

HELLO THE PITTSBURGH BLAZERS!

If the league expands to Seattle or and Vegas I think that pretty much guarantees the Blazers stay put for quite a while.

1,000%.

I don't see why the league wouldn't vote to allow the two expansion teams either.

I believe the past argument had something to do with 2 more teams taking a share of the TV revenue. Not sure if that is still the case.

for expansion to pass, 23 of 30 teams need to vote yes. If 8 teams vote no, expansion fails

I'm not sure if there will be 23 votes for exapansion

They could just replace OKC in the NW Division with Seattle, move OKC to the Southwest Division, and Memphis to the Eastern Conference.
I guess there would be one division in each conference with 6 teams?

Nah. If Seattle and LV are the next teams, we go back to the Pacific with Seattle/Sac/GS/LA/LA
Mountain…. Utah/Denver /PHX/LV/OKC
Other Central ……. Minny/Dallas/Houston /SA/Memphis
New Orleans heads EAST

It won't be 5/5/6 in divisions ... 32 teams will mean eight divisions of 4 teams each or 4 divisions of 8 .. or just get rid of the divisions all together since these teams are all on chartered flights at this point and travel isn't done by train and/or commercial flights like it was when the league was started.

If for some reason they don’t approve expansion and they don’t approve the remodel then we could be in trouble

It literally makes me mad they keep putting teams in Vegas. Not sure why. It feels like a fake city with no fans, just visitors. It is such a blatant money grab, when these leagues could add a team in real cities with hardcore fans very easily. Stick an NBA team in Seattle, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Nashville or whatever and you would do well. Vegas is such a cop out. Watching the A's do it I think put me over the top. I hope the Raiders lose every game.
