just accepted the job offer of my dreams. It was great, paid $38/hr full benefits! The work is a combination of physical and technical, and the cherry on the top was it was good MORAL work. I would have been working with private landowners to plant trees on their property, giving them timber harvesting power in the future plus fortifying the American timber trade instead of outsourcing for wood. Not to mention improving the local environment.

The thing is I'd be working with a non-profit and my position is funded by federal grants.

My job acceptance almost feel through with one executive order but I got lucky until Elon fucking MUSK commandeered the treasury payment system so there are effectively no resources to hire me. He took my job.

It's fucking heartbreaking. In 2 years I could have paid off my student loans and had a down payment for a house if I had saved like mad. Now I'm stuck making $20,000 a year living paycheck to paycheck. And I don't think anybody understands what an opportunity like this is for some poor kid who grew up in a rotten trailer in Appalachia to have had. Fuck.

According to that article the system they have access too doesn't contain those codes, but who knows.
 
Musk employee who resigned yesterday after Wall Street Journal exposed his racist posts is back on the job today with explicit support of Vance. This is the person who said he wants more hate directed against Indian Americans. Like Vance's wife.

He'd bea huge upgrade to Trump and Elon.

I think Vance probably had some good intentions, though I disagree with almost all of what he says. There's a smidgen of populism there. Oh, and he thought Trump was Hitlerian.

Vance is 100% sold out to billionaires. He'd be no different at all. Except he's a better talker and could do damage for longer.

I've seen nothing that would lead me to believe he's any different from them at all.

He didn't luck into a rich family. But that's about the only difference I see.

The site arrives at that conclusion by comparing the total units sold so far — 34,438 for the Cybertruck, compared to 3,173,491 for the ill-fated Pinto, discontinued in 1980 — and comparing reported fire fatalities for both.

At the current rate of horrible fiery deaths, FuelArc projects the Cybertruck will have 14.52 fatalities per 100,000 units — far eclipsing the Pinto's 0.85. (In absolute terms, FuelArc found, 27 Pinto drivers died in fires, while five Cybertruck drivers have suffered the same fate, at least so far.)

I understand auditing different government agencies, but this is not even close to the way to do it....sending in an unelected, unqualified person to dismantle whole departments and fire everyone.

Government should not be run like a company.

The only people who support this do not understand the role government should play in healthy and productive society.
