It's all unsubstantiated rumors, but I've heard from a few people with way more inside knowledge than I have that privately she's looking for buyers.
Who knows though.

I wouldn't be shocked if she did. As a matter of fact that might be the only way to get rid of Neil.

It’s just speculation. Definitely wouldn’t surprise me though.

I think it’ll be sold, but I also think the owner will leave them here.

Agreed. To spend 2 billion (let's be honest, if they're sold, it'll be for more than 2 billion) just to move a team is dumb. Especially given the loyalty of the fans, the ownership of the arena, the fact that the NBA doesn't actually like teams moving and the negative reaction this would garner from the region, it's just a dumb prospect.

And the twitter fans and fans on here (no one has said this to my knowledge) who are saying "move the team to Seattle!1!" or "the team will move to Seattle!1!" can all eat a bag of dicks.

Well, when they’re sold and bought and moved, maybe they will win.

It just shows you what a podunk Dwight Jaynes is.

He clearly has no idea how much money Jody Allen has or inherited or how rich she is. As if $2 billion would make a difference to her and allow her to finally relax and drink pina coladas.

What a moron.

Really? How many times has the NBA blocked a team from moving?
A lot, just happened with Sacramento a few years ago.

The NBA isn't going to allow a team to move that has a decent arena, a huge amount of fan support, and that has been around for 50 years.

Key Arena was a dump. I couldn't believe the NBA allowed games to be played there. However, they did learn from that mistake.

Plus, part of the reason this franchise is valued more than other small market teams is because it also includes ownership of the arena. It would be bad business to buy an arena and then move the team out of that arena thus having an arena with no tenant.

Wonder what it would take to get a Green Bay model going.

A time machine back to when the team wasn't worth 2 billion, and then in a parallel universe where NBA teams didn't potentially cost millions each year to run.

I had to do a google search for a photo of Jody Allen when she became owner of the team. I had a fresher recollection of what Paul Allen's mother looked like than his sister. Just from the fact that we rarely if ever saw Jody around over the years, I doubt she's that big of a basketball fan. I assume the interest and financial commitment to improve the team last year was a way for her to honor Paul. Who knows though because people express their fandom in different ways. I do expect her to sell the team based on not seeing her around much over the years, and the fact that she has suddenly become cost conscious this season.

Dwight Jaynes is more and more irrelevant and he knows it. So he's gotta come up with crap like this to get his name in the news. Crapzano does this also when he needs to feed his ego.
