Jan 6th...hardly the same either way...your party challenged a fair election, incited a mob and people died on capitol hill over it....that guilt is on one party and one party only...accountability is your only choice if you cherish equality and justice and integrity

Fair enough. I won't be voting for him. It still does not negate my opinions of the other party.

they still haven't distanced themselves from the Swamp

Wait what....? Trump sure loved to throw around "the swamp" as some kind of mythical buzz word, but he was 100% a swamp person. Dude built a mansion in the swamp. The Republicans are squarely in the swamp. Don't act like it's just the Democrats. The whole system stinks and Trump walked in and profited off of it.

I've made other comments, as well.

If you vote for DeSantis or any other Republican who follows the Trump playbook, then you are voting for him

You'll be seeing (have been seeing) DeSantis steer well clear of Trump politics.

If someone has voted for trump twice, I’m not gonna believe that they won’t vote him again.
especially since the other guy they are supporting also voted for Trump twice and Trump politics are all over the Senate and Congress right now....The senate minority leader is a Trump puppet if there ever was one...to pretend that that element hasn't left that party with Trump is really just complete denial. What needs fixed is still a problem. Pretending it didn't happen doesn't change a thing.

Hell if he has or will. It's the same playbook. The rhetoric, the racist fear mongering, downplaying the threat of Covid, etc etc

DeSantis wants to topple Trump because he wants the power for himself. Like I said, because he has more brain cells than Trump he will weild that power possibly even more dangerously should he get it. We are already seeing what he is doing in Florida. If he becomes president he would move to put those policies in place across the country.

I'll be watching to see how he differentiates himself from Trump. And he will. Lots of time left. Lots.

Ted Cruz and many republicans pretended to distance themselves from Trump in primaries when they ran too......it's all a show for the voter base. First if you don't clean up the insurrectionists in your party that hold power now....then the job isn't done and nothing has distanced itself from Trump politics at all.....if I were a republican today I'd lobby for those members who voted to impeach Trump

DeSantis is playing a dangerous game. The Republican nomination is a game of who is the biggest schoolyard bully. DeSantis is testing weather he can overtake Trump as the top dog in the party.

Will Trump's base stick with him or we they switch loyalties over to DeSantis if he promises all that Trump has and more? They really share the same base. Trump voters voted for DeSantis because Trump told them too and because like I said he runs the same playbook. In the end that base can only choose one if they both run for president.

Either way if one of them gets the nomination which is likely the stakes are our democracy. That's not good at all.

Honestly I don't think Trump will be on the ballot...he'll be in way too much trouble long before 2024...he's done in DC....his merry men however are going to milk his bullying and insulting playbook because they saw it work for him...play to the same crowd with the same rhetoric and whoosh...you have a chunk of voters

At least the Dems are trying pass real laws. They are still legislating, even if its frustrating and half-assed.

The only thing the GOP did, legislatively - and that was their job let's remember - was to pass a big tax cut, and break the rules to get a couple of conservatives on the Supreme Court. They can no longer be counted to act as a responsible governing party.

Worst Presidents: I would vote 1.Trump, 2.Nixon 3.Franklin Pierce 4. Andrew Johnson 5. James Buchanan.

Generally, Both Parties Suck.

Imagine, if you will, a scenario where no one turned out to vote in 2024.
