I know that. I was referring to Felton and Crawford; not having the same conditioning and energy as Wallace.
That's a piss poor excuse for the guards, but nice try.

Now you've got me saying "huh."
Zero correlation with the argument.
Yeah "less concerned" as in "hide your women and children" when Crawford is shooting and just "cover your eyes" when Felton is guessing on his layups (the three point % I've got no defense for, he shouldn't be this bad). I'm certainly not "happy" with Felton's regression when it comes to finishing, I just think it's something that should (could?) improve as his conditioning gets better and as he settles in. At least he's got the right idea, even if the execution is mostly crap right now.
No worries, I'm not the one upset to no end on their performance. I like knowing that these guards, that were notorious for lackluster D, are now playing some of the best D in PDX. I will trade guard D for higher % shots any day of the week. We went from being one of the worst perimeter defending teams last season to one of the best this season. I like where we are heading.
Has 100% of my original response. Saying Felton and Crawford use a lot of their energy on the defensive end; which effects their game. Saying they aren't like Wallace; who can spend considerable amount of energy defensively; yet still give you good offensive production. Basically, that type of player is a very rare breed.
B-Roy and Nik's concerns don't appear to be Felton/Crawford's FG% itself so much as the quantity and quality of the shots that they're taking. If they don't have the legs for great outside shooting because they're expending so much energy on the defensive end, that's fine, and that could be a valid and legitimate explanation for the poor percentage, but that doesn't explain or excuse their poor shot selection or their propensity to call their own number so often.
If they don't have the energy to take/make good shots, then they need to be looking to create shots for others rather than for themselves.
Ahhhh I see. Okay I was going on the OP topic. If that is truly what they were saying, then I would agree 100%. If you can't make a shot, then find someone who can.
Yes, this is mostly what we're saying. I (and I suspect B-Roy) want Felton and Crawford to take "better" shots instead of forcing the issue.
Yes, exactly. Awful shot selection deserves to be called out.Yes, this is mostly what we're saying. I (and I suspect B-Roy) want Felton and Crawford to take "better" shots instead of forcing the issue.

There were times against Cleveland that I just posted LOLs on the blown layups by Felton and crazy shots by Crawford. I was just wondering why they think somehow it will go in.
I will now gladly accept rep from all of you for clarifying that confusion.
You're welcome.
Felton got torched by nash and irving.... he really isn't our answer at PG.

He has done great vs everyone else. Either way to small a sample size to say either way.

I've always been under the mindset that I don't really care about a PG's numbers. As long as they are facilitating the offense and not falling in love with the jumpshot I'm okay. Felton is great at keeping the defense on its toes and great in the pick and roll. Were 8 games in, the season should just be starting, chemistry with his new teammates is still a work in progress. Felton's numbers aren't great, but I'm happy with the way he's quarterbacking the team.
I somewhat agree with this sentiment. I don't think Felton looks confused about running the point and I'm sure some of his struggles have to do with no training camp and simple conditioning, but 35%-ish on field goals is just brutal ... still time to turn it around, but if he still looks like this ten games from now, it might be time to break out a big red panic button.
If this team keeps winning at a 0.75 clip I could care less what his FG% is. He can come to games in a bikini and high-hill as well, as far as I am concerned.

Felton has been an acceptable starting PG, but nothing above average. If we can make a run at Deron Williams in the offseason obviously that would be a dream scenario, but outside of that we could consider keeping Felton because at least he's not a bad PG.
If we do keep Felton I want him on no more then a 2 year contract, or something with team options. If he's fat and out of shape in a contract year I cringe to think of how Eddy Curry like he could be if he's on a long-term large salary deal.
