Chicago jury needed only a couple of hours to acquire man charged with attempted murder for hire of ICE chief thug Greg Bovino. The defendant had shared a social media post sneakily talking about taking him out.
Fifteen people were charged following occupation of Chicago. Eleven had charges dropped. Three had grand juries return no bill. One went to trial and was acquitted.

Opera star Renee Fleming and Seattle Children's Theater have cancelled performances at former Kennedy Center for the Arts. Pressure growing on San Francisco Ballet, which still says they will perform. I wrote to them explaining I have had season tickets for decades but cannot renew if they choose to honor Trump rather than their community. A former dancer is leading a pressure campaign. She said they won't restore their standing if they support fascists.
About 40% of their dancers are born outside the US and they worry administration could cause problems with their visas. Also some big donors are Silicon Valley billionaires who have decided to grovel to Trump.

Composer Phillip Glass was commissioned to create a symphony in honor of President Lincoln. It was supposed to be performed at Kennedy Center for the Arts in June. Glass has withdrawn consent for his symphony to be performed there.
