I have the day off work today and was cruising around in the car listening to SportsTalk (local sport radio show) and they mentioned that Dan Harbison is going to be a key note speaker at a conference here (Auckland, New Zealand) as a part of the www.SportIsFantastic.com tour. Dan is the Director of Interactive Marketing & Media for the Blazers so it's pretty neat to have someone from the organisation down here!

Kirsten Corio, senior director of team marketing and business opps for the NBA is here too.

tickets are like $1,000nzd - about 700usd :(

still.... im getting closer! at some point im going to take 6months off and come over for a season =]

Bilbo Baggins' sister, Trinity!

If you're from Auckland, you'll feel right at home in Portland.

In the summer I work with ex PGA golfer Frank Nobilo and he has been here and says it reminds him of his home New Zealand. He said the Gorge looks like NZ!

Nothing to do with Basketball, but the only team in the entire world cup to finish undefeated was New Zealand. Not bad!

Isn't that like saying the Clippers have never lost an NBA Finals game!

No - the "All-Whites" did actually play in the World Cup. They drew three times and went out in the group stage.
