Considering the tools he has had to work with he brought in Davis, Aminu, Harkless, Napier, Nurkic and Collins and had a team that had the 3rd best record in the west this past year. Sure you will comeback and say we failed in the playoffs, but 4 teams always fail in the first round and Spurs and OKC were 2 of them.

Okay, NOW we're getting somewhere here.

Okay, so he brought in Davis (good bench player), Aminu (frustrating at times, but good on Defense), Harkless (he's either hot or cold....many people think we can do better), Napier (good bench player), Nurk, and Collins. Again: in 3 years, besides Nurk and Collins, what improvements has he made that has UPGRADED the roster?

He hasn't. Besides Nurk and Collins. He continuously passes on FA, and because of that, we're forever stuck in 40-win territory.

He did good putting what were supposed to be temporary hold-over pieces in place when the old crew left Dame and Portland. But he hasn't done shit to improve that roster since. Again: with the exception of Nurk and Collins.

Trades? Nope. FA? Nope. Draft? Again...besides Collins, nope.

The playoffs? We should have been the 6th seed if it wasn't for injuries to other teams during that winning streak last season.

And never mind the terrible contracts he's given out; contracts which we are now stuck with because no other GM in their right mind is going to take them off of our hands for any price.

He's an awful GM. Paul is a fool for keeping him around.

It has become very obvious you prefer to just whine so i am done discussing this with you. Enjoy your day as i prefer not to be drug down by such a pessimistic person. I actually enjoy things in life. Try it some time.

Could have fooled me with the garbage you post in OT. You need to get over the fact that not everyone agrees with you, and grow up. Seriously.

Enjoy your day.

I'm just curious why we keep drafting teenagers while our team is mediocre and struggling to advance.

No no.....we're not allowed to ask that, Nate. Not on RC2! Just supposed to blindly accept what comes.

You questioned JOs trade stock in his first years in pdx, you are wrong.

actually what I was referencing was that a player (I just happened to use Oneal) can still have value and be traded with little playing time in their first couple years.

35 minutes between posts. I've seen you do this before. You stomp out of a thread in a huff, slamming the door, saying that's it for the day. Then you're right back. You are too emotional. Are you and Tykendo women?

Why are (some) people under the impression that drafting a teenager is not common? And that they don’t pan out? I don’t get it. Have they stopped watching Kentucky/Duke/Arizona, etc?

People need any reason to bitch.

The #1 rule of being a man: Don't make threats if you can't back them up. Because eventually, some tough guy will take you up on it and fight you. Every boy learns this (from "friends," or dear old Dad and his belt).

(I included Tykendo because I already figured her out. Not sure yet on Cup.)

He meant to say "high school guard." Just substitute that phrase instead of "teen." Or you can substitute in, Telfair, Webster, Montero...

Yeah, everyone's been a high schoo guard.

Oh, but one year at Louisvilee instead of at the NBA level would've somehow made him better? I'm not buying it.

Here was the post I responded to and my reply.

post:How tradeable will our asset be if he barely plays behind our two best players for his first three years?

my response: How tradeable was Jermaine Oneal when he maybe played about 15mpg?

Jermaine Oneal actually averaged around 11mpg in his years here behind two of our best players in Brian Grant and Rasheed Wallace and then was traded for Dale Davis. Do you see the similarities now? Oneal was also a 17th over all pick right out of high school so not that dissimilar to Simons in that respect.

Can we just sticky this thread now?

I'm curious - how many of those hardened Olshey supporters have finally seen the light?

He's been around for 2 years longer than he should have

I don't get it. Paul Allen used to fire GMs on a whim. Why is he giving Neil such a big leash

He's trying to kill all interest in the team so he can move them to Seattle. The summer of 16 was an inside job.
