You're more than just a little confused...

You're delusional to think that Neil is 'one of the better' GM in the league. In no way is he in the top 10.

Front offices around the league clearly disagree with your assessment and voted as such.

Don’t you do it, Neil!

for fucksakes that was 7 years ago, and that was Olshey getting credit for Portland going from 33 wins to 54. But 4 of 5 starters were essentially already on the team before Olshey arrived. All he did between seasons was upgrade from Hickson to Lopez and sign Mo Williams with the BAE

that was after he offered a max contract to Roy Hibbert & drafted CJ while Giannis was on the board. But it was before he allowed Aldridge & Lopez to walk for free; traded Batum for scrubs; offered a max deal to Greg Monroe; gave out 340M in contracts in 2016 with not an all-star in sight; made max contract offers to Chandler Parsons & Whiteside; traded Crabbe for Andrew Nicholson and accrued a 7 year encumbrance on the salary cap; made a bunch of low-ball trade offers for elite players; spent millions taking on Varejao to get a 26th pick which he then used on Swanigan; completely fucked-up the 2017 draft; made Portland the custodian of Melo's legacy; and threw Terry Stotts under the bus

just like that 2014 season was the high water mark for the Blazers under Olshey, it was also the high water mark for Olshey's rep as the Blazer GM

Kinda wonder if Neil would have been fired if any of those stupid offers went through.

Hibbert
Parsons
Monroe
Whiteside

Clearly directed at Olshey...

Am I reading into things correctly now?

I forgot them all, but there were even more huge rejected offers/lucky bullet-dodgers. He is bad at evaluating positions other than guard. He's a sucker for shooting and dribbling skills, reflecting The Will of Stotts.

Billups might be great, but hiring an unproven coach with 1 year assistant coaching experience should not be on the Top 10 list of best moves a GM has made over the last 9 years.
It did bother me a little when Billups told Brooke that this job was going to be a great "learning experience".

Did he? I'm pretty sure the guy had a super happy day and got to celebrate it with his family. Speculation either way.
Clownzano strikes again. Obviously it's his job to be opinionated. But he always seems to have a bone to pick with the Blazers . Doesn't matter what it is. I listened to his daily show on Eugene Radio. He seemed to give a lot of leeway to the Local colleges. But he was never that favorable to the Blazers. Hey he's a transplant. Grew up in Rural California. Not saying he has to be a fan, but c'mon. He's ready to pounce on anything that rubs him the wrong way with the Blazers. Dwight Jaynes used to get my blood going too, especially back in the early 90's. But he will give credit to the Blazers when it's due. I really like Dwight now. I've matured. But Clownzano has been off his rocker on the Blazers for years.

AndyDirt is a lousy sports radio guy who seems to always be rambling on and on and on. The guys is so negative about The Blazers as a whole! I wish Dusty and Cam were back, they didn't ramble on like the Dirt Bag.

So, Henry,

Why didn't you ask Dave why abuser Jody Allen not bring those feelings about his mother. After all she was the owner 1 month ago, a week ago, today, and will be in the foreseeable future. Why Billips, and not her?

Ditto for Dia.

What about a certain know sexual assaulter announcer in the conference finals? After all, he wasn't just accused, but convicted. Didn't watching him commentate "make them shake"? If not, why not? If so, why aren't they talking about that?

The answer is transparent - they hate Neil. They're willing to ignore all other data. If Neil is involved, they're willing to hate. So, why are you not commenting on this in your article.

And... why in the hell are you referring to these idiots as "blazer fans", like they represent all of us. If anyone on the planet should represent "blazer fans", then for better or worse, it should probably be members of the blazers official forums.

And the basis of your article is groundless. Neil has never given any indication that he wants out.

(I know of a current Blazer who has elected to say nothing public about an uncomfortable, seemingly racially motivated, run-in with the Portland police.)

This is the most interesting thing I got out of that article. Wonder who it was? Throwing a shot in the dark I'll go with Nas. Would have been GTJ if he was still on the team.

You MUST be thinking of a different guy because Dirt is one of the more positive voices about the Blazers on the fan lol

“I want to go to a big market so I hope I get fired” seems like bad logic. I don’t think he wants to get fired. I do think he is sick of the media and fans and the big fish small pond atmosphere. Most people think he loves the attention but he couldn’t care less.

If he gets fired, he'll get paid by the Blazers for the rest of his contract and he'll be able to go to a big market (in his eyes) and double dip.

Not of late he hasn't been.

Not like there has been a ton of uplifting Blazer topics since they were eliminated. He thought they'd win their 1st round series if I remember correctly.

He did. He was suuuuper bummed.

Can you blame a person for being negative during all this? What the hell has been positive?

Exactly.

My point still stands. He's still one of the most positive and passionate fans on the radio.
