Not flawed dude. You may disagree with the comment but my thinking is just fine.
So you think Jody and Bert both think Terry and Neil are horrible workers? I believe they measure someones performance more that just championships, sure making playoffs is one criteria and winning it all is bonus.
As long as the team performs well enough, and fans are buying tickets and tuning in, and its the only major one, of the big three and ownership is part of a huge corporate conglomerate that can be enough for many owner ship group.
It the prerogative of the owner and his executive team to set what criteria keeps a coaches & GM job.

No one is forcing you to click on this thread. There are thousands of threads in this forum. I don't go around clicking on every thread. I only click on the threads that interest me. Maybe create a Keep Stotts Now thread and congregate in there.

If by "grand salami" you mean a game past the second round, you're obviously right because nine fucking years without a conference finals game won... that's a lot of leeway the organization has given Olshey and Stotts. Either the ownership is indifferent or they're indifferent.

Its the ownership and the executive team that decides what is acceptable performance. They can let things slide if numbers are decent or they can fire people for whatever reason?
Im not endorsing Stotts and Neil staying or leaving Im evaluating our ownership on what they define as success enough to keep a job. It all starts at the top.

But we hadn't won at that point and things weren't looking super encouraging. I'll never understand you guys who go back into the game threads and retroactively respond to posts that are made in the heat of the moment. They're two completely different types of posts. One is made while the game is going on and is real-time, and the other kind of post is able to look at it knowing whether we won or lost, without the emotions of a live game.

And before you say it, we know that you can't post during the game.

What you're doing is essentially traveling back in time and telling people from the 1400s that they're morons for not knowing the earth was round, despite them not having space travel or satellites or any of the technology that we have today. Do you think people would be as emotional and angry if they knew we would win by 20 while we're tied up with Detroit in the first half?

Bro that thread last night...... if you just read it, you would have thought we almost lost that game by 50! Even when we were up 20 with a minute left! At no point did anybody say, “My bad” “I was wrong” anything like that.
No different than when we are up 20 on a team early and these clowns have us heading to the Finals, only to win by 2! They don’t say anything either.

I’m allowed to call clowns out on here who post without thinking, just like they are allowed to post those opinions. Thats how this place works son.
Now shouldn’t you and your roommate the @AldoTrapani guy be working on fresh new hot takes about how horrible we are on every level possible for tomorrow nights game thread? Because surely we will lose to the team with the same record as us who plays in the east and has had no injuries to key players.

Thats true bitching can be effective. I managed people for 40 plus years and the one's that complained the most were the one that were preoccupied with slacking off and not meeting productivity expectations. They could either improve performance, work somewhere else or get their ass fired.

It's not my expectation for the team that has been put together. It's my expectation that in nine seasons that Olshey would have put together a team that would have won a game in the conference finals. For the record, Stotts is part of that team. So I feel the onus falls on Olshey and hopefully (if the almost inevitable happens) Olshey will finally be held accountable.

A true Fan for example cares about the defense of his favourite team, because Defense is absolutely crucial in the Playoffs. And when the defense is that bad, while Olshey and Stotts said before the season the Blazers will try something new and it has not happened to this day, and we're stil a horrendous defensive team, we as fans have a right to be pissed. Our defense is going to get killed by elite teams in the Playoffs the way we defend. But you are okay with that unfortunately

Defense is VERY important to me. So I guess I’m a “trueFan” even though I’d never heard of that term until today. But you will have to go back and find where I have ever posted that I’m “okay with that”.
