@BonesJones what coach would you like to see replace him? I wanted Lionel Hollins, before we got Stotts, but maybe a current assistant or a college coach? Ala Brad Stevens?
If I could replace him with a college coach it'd be Sean Miller.

Firing a coach after 30 games into a season after he has taken you to two consecutive second rounds, and yes it still counts even if the Clippers were injured beyond belief last year, seems a little excessive and as much as people seem to want to call for his head around here isn't going to happen.
They weren't consecutive and hadn't it been for sheer luck and a fadeaway 3 at the buzzer it'd be none.

In his post-game interviews, Stotts is starting to sound more and more like Mark Helfrich.

Unless the Blazers go on a tear during the easy stretch at the end of the season, Olshey is going to have to fire Stott's at some point -- to shift blame and save face. I'm guessing after the end of the season. Unless as I said, they finish the season strong. Then it's maybe 50/50?

Remember--any coach that loses to the Warriors in the playoffs, in the Steve Kerr era, gets fired within a year. Stotts and Billy Donovan should be afraid.

How did Stotts suddenly become the problem? All I've heard for the last 5 years is what a good job he has done of molding this young team and getting the most out of them.

GSW championship in 2015 was paved by luck and injuries doesnt' invalidate what they did. Hell even if Dame misses that shot, which isn't a fadeway he pulls straight up and shoots it, if your going to get me on the fuck up of consecutive i'm not going to let you slide on that that, we still have one more game even if it is in Houston and those two trips to the second round were two more trips to the second round then we had in the previous 12 years.

You're only as good as your last season runner up coach of the year lets you be.....Stotts needs to make a statement now if he doesn't want to get fired..it starts with our rotation players. Dame is the guy who needs to lead the locker room and stop being everyone's best friend until things straighten out.

You're... you're... you're seeing another forum? But I thought you said... you...

I'm so hurt right now.

People don't want to believe that this is the most we can get.

Because it's BEEN 5 years. Young team or not, we're currently on course to have our worst season since Stotts got here.

He did a good job molding. He's done a shit job at taking that mold to the next level.

"The next level" might have been short-circuited by the loss of Aldridge, Batum, (a healthy) Matthews and Lopez. If all those players were still on the team, they may have reached the next level. Tearing the entire team down to the foundations does tend to reduce the level.

Stotts does good with teams that have no expectations. Trans that do? He fails to meet them.

i think we need to recognise the strengths and weaknesses here.

Stotts seems to be a momentum offensive focused coach.

Does he need to get ditched due to this? ehhh probably not, does he need some pure defensive minded assistant that isnt fuckin hopeless? yes.

I'd keep him, but add to the coaching team to fill out the skillz

Please do it Neil. Lionel Hollins for the win.

It's pathetic. I saw so many problems with his play calling tonight. His plays are asinine and completely predictable.

And nevermind the lack of timeouts.

Fire this fucking clown.

his plays on offense? I agree his defensive strategy was horrible tonight, but the play calls were not the issue.
