I don't even know who's coaching DEN, PHI, TOR, MIL but they're probably better than Stotts. And I don't even particularly like half the names I listed, but they've all proven more that Stotts.
Just going to take this list and run with it.
There are calls by the Philly fanbase to fire Brett Brown after Philly lost to the Wiz and then ATL. 'Process is over, bring in a coach to take us to the next level'.
Gentry while he's out coached two Portland coaches in the playoffs. His respective team's fanbase still would trade him for a Klondike bar. Look at tonight, he got blasted for not protecting AD.
Geko's fired former coach of the year and a coach who completely revamped their offense all because they got LeBron'd. Won't know if their decision is correct until well... They make it past the ECF and possibly it still won't be correct as they'll get to face GSW. Meaning they won't get dumpstered by LBJ, but they'll still get dumpstered...
If you go visit the Jazz forums you'll see many of the same arguments made about Synder by Utah fans, that several fans make on this forum about Stotts. Not to mention up until a week or so ago Utah was under .500.
That fanbase lamblasted Snyder during their streak late in the season last year. I even remember posts of 'I'd trade Synder for Stotts'. Can you imagine what was said about Snyder for coaching the Jazz to under .500?
Sure injures, but anyone who thinks fans let injures be an excuse is forgetting what happened after Portland got 4-1'd by GSW.
Kerr has yet to get GSW to gel this year. Being that Walton was able to coach that team just as well as Kerr. Not sure it's Kerr or if it's having the depth to bring a former finals MVP off the bench....
D'Antoni was getting hammered by Rockettes fans for their start. Not Memelol.
Joerger has yet to really show anything other than alienating his best players. Hell in November Divac issued a statement about his job security or lack there of...
Who knows how good Spo is, seems he might know what he's doing but what has he done since LBJ left? Relied on old man Wade to carry the team? Unable to get Whiteside to stay on the court is certainly one thing he's done.
Rivers has always done well in the regular season, but what does he do in the playoffs? Lose unless he has KG to carry him.
Brad Stevens, Carlisle, Pop.
Sure I can see those three being elite.
Now if only we could clone them.
I'm not against finding a new coach, just like I'm not against trading CJ.
But you have to have somewhat of a picture in mind of what you're looking to get.
Just naming names, in hopes the outlook changes is asinine.
Considering it's more of a 'grass is always greener' situation. As most of these coaches listed, if you actually looked... Have the same shit brought up about them by their respective fan bases as Stotts does.
