You are so cluelessDo NOT trade CJ! That would be stupid. We need competent coaching.
Watched him quit just a few too many times. CJ only plays hard for so long. That is not on Stotts. That is on CJ.Do NOT trade CJ! That would be stupid. We need competent coaching.
Wow. You guys don't know what you're talking about. If you're going to complain about CJ, you might as well complain about Dame. Dame has been HORRIBLE in this series. Far worse than CJ. You DO NOT trade transcendental talents in the NBA and both of these guys are stars. The solution is to continue to build around them and improve the coaching. Our forwards suck. We need to improve the talent level there. Fortunately we have Zach and he can help alleviate that with more development.
I wish I could believe that, but our "one of the top back courts in the NBA" got schooled by what most would consider an average backcourt in NO. On both ends of the court too. How many times did Holiday just walk by both Dame and CJ to get to the rim? How effective was our star backcourt in breaking down the pressure applied by NO? Both sides of the ball were a complete fail. I don't see a new coach and a couple of improved wings (and how are we going to get those anyway?) going to transform this team.
Dame has been double and triple teamed. Not CJ. CJ has just shit the bed and when it got tough he pretty much quit again this year in the playoffs.Wow. You guys don't know what you're talking about. Our backcourt has played terrible in this series. But they've shown throughout the year that they are one of the top duos in the league. I think the problem in this series is on Stotts. He has shown no ability to make adjustments to counter the Pel's pressure on our backcourt. That is coaching.
What have Dame and CJ shown?! That they can beat teams in the regular season with their best players injured... they haven’t shown shit! Playoffs are the only place that counts. The 3rd seed was a joke... only 2 games from being out of playoffs and they have shown they didn’t deserve to be there. DAME AND CJ PAIRING IS THE PROBLEM!Our backcourt has played terrible in this series. But they've shown throughout the year that they are one of the top duos in the league. It's been said that a bigger stronger SG paired with Dame could be a better duo. I happen to agree with that.I do agree coaching is the primary issue, but also don't believe the pair have the ability to overcome this even if Pops where at the helm. Dame with a true two-way mate might work.
So there is literally a cult that practices apathy? And CJ is a member?Anyone else think CJ's reliance on Apethia might not be such a good thing for him? To me it seems like the timing of this attitude change coincided with his lack of really caring or trying in games.

I’m done hearing “don’t make a deal just to make a deal”... at some point you have to make a deal or you are just shitty at your job

OK. NOW I'm ready to trade him.
CJ plus the kitchen sink for Kawhi Leonard.
No, not the house foundation. Just the kitchen sinkSo CJ and Collins?
or CJ, Collins and Nurk?

Be careful: he's a beast WHEN HE'S HEALTHY. Say what you like about CJ but he's not injury-prone.I'd trade CJ for Jrue Holiday in a heartbeat....dude is a beast...I'd probably target him before most superstar guards at this point.
Not really. It also ain't just us. This is the sentiment across the entire fan base. There is problems with the way this team is built. This isn't rocket science. They need to make some changes. I just don't want to make changes that don't bring a good value back. That might be a year or even two away. But they do in fact need to be made.Y'all in here trippin lol.
Even before this series, league executives had assumed that Olshey would break up the duo if they failed again. We’ll find out in due time, but the idea should be entertained.

I understand the many nuances of "Trippin" very well. Yes people are in fact "Trippin" but my feeling is there are ways to "Trip". You can look for positives and ways to fix issues or you can go to the Negs. How do you know what I'm talking about or are you just assuming?
"Trippin" has a few meanings.
I mean it I'm the sense that everyone is I'm here doing this:
